What a lucky pop-up. I haven't searched for a video about him, but it appeared on my feed. I read a poem by him yesterday, in an anthology, and I didn't think he is one for me, but after seeing this documentary I will read more by him. I also dislike punctuation in poems for some reason. I barely put any, mostly commas when listing words and a handful of question marks, but I rarely add anything else. I don't mind reading poems with punctuation, though.

Very nice short documentary. I like how she added one line in German, for the startling sound effect, but then in the next line, she translated it for us. I appreciate this. I know a few languages, but not German. And many people don't know German. I read so many poems that there were lines in other languages, sometimes way too many lines, but they are normally untranslated which I find frustrating. If I read a book of poems, a physical copy, the last thing I want is to go on my laptop and google the translation, especially if it's early morning and I read in bed.

I'll attempt to be honest I used to come home. Eat food because I'm fucking hungry. Grab my skateboard grab my weed skate down the road. I've had a nice little stash spot. Smoke some buds come back like nothing ever happened. I'm gonna go back to my room and watch wheel of Fortune.

No P&G commercials here, and I think the soap lineup was Young and Restless, Search for Tomorrow, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light. Love of Life aired through 2/1/1980. Love of life was sponsored by Boyle Midway in the 70s, and Search, Turns, and Light were Proctor and Gamble. Y&R didn't have a regular product sponsor. Sitcom reruns were Jeffersons, Alice, and One Day at a Time in 1980, game shows were Beat the Clock(through 2/1/80), Whew!(through 5/30), and of course Price is Right. These commercials are from 3/6/1980 as the Danny Kaye special said to air tonight was aired on 3/6/1980

Ah I'm glad to finally get to watch this. The Poet's View DVD hasn't been available in my country. Do you have the programmes of the other poets, besides Ashbery and Glück? Regardless, thank you for making sure folks from all over can see these little known looks into some great poets.
