You've saved me hours of research. Extremely high quality video. Well done! BTW if you don't mind me asking, is your mother language latin-based? Spanish speaker here and I hear some similarities :D edit: se te escapó por ahí una "eshe" (ll) jeje así que debes ser argentino o uruguayo. saludos desde perú!!

The content decent but the title is either a click bait or makes one look inexperienced because TDD not new and even every fresh grad should already know about.
@SemaphoreCIАй бұрын
I agree everyone should already know about this, that's why I did the video.
@ygstuff4898Ай бұрын
TDD leans heavily on complete & accurate design of the solution, and having it refined very well. And often the observation (joke?) is that the final code is the by-product, side effect, of all the refinement and test-definitions.

Nicely said. Thank you for watching!

Hype? TDD is 22 years old. It’s like making a video about BlackBerry

Don't get me started on Blackberry, would love to do one video, too bad I can't figure out how it can relate to CI/CD or software development.

What would be the benefit of using over just using a standard Modal component from a library like Bootstrap or MUI?
@SemaphoreCI2 ай бұрын
It really depends on the use case, but in general portals render outside the main react tree which can be faster, and simpler, there is not need to mess with deeply nested components. Also CSS handling is simpler with portals.

Thank you so much for sharing this! So much wisdom in such a short video! Many thanks @Allen Holub ! My only comment is towards delivery cadence. This can vary alot - I understood the point that we need to shorten the feedback loop as much as possible - but hinting minutes/hours may raise unrealistic expectations in some cases

Learn how to run Llama3 in your machine. Running a ChatGPT alternative locally can be cheaper and more secure. You can ask it about private information without worrying what happens with the data.

This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen about running LLMs! Specifically it’s very user friendly for non-coders! Maybe some tweaks in the title/description will help none coders to find this better

Like some other commenters have said, this video was really useful to unpack the different options available for working with Llama models. Thank you so much! Aside: Your pronunciation of the “ll” sounds like the way it’s done in Argentinian Spanish…are you in Argentina?
@SemaphoreCI8 ай бұрын
Yes I am. That ""LL" the sound is what we use to call the actual llamas, which we have plenty of. I understand that in English it's more like "lama" but it's hard to remember that when I'm recording. Thank you for the kind words.
