I keep coming back to this song because of the words: "Did you seek your mother's aid?" because this does strongly remind me of my spiritual, true mother during The Void Council's execution trial... of me, that caused me to see the white flash and all of the sudden I was born human. There was nothing she could do as the black cloth may have hid her blind eyes, but it could not hide her tears; and knowing my spiritual, true father was absent only because he was fighting ever so valiantly to defend his homeland from the Warlocks who sought to drain his homeland of its resources for their god whose skeletal effigy sits dead on a stone throne in her tomb: Thatani, The Elder Goddess of Death; for she is The Shadow Of The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death as her eyes solid black except for white irises... Ever since, even here on earth, I may have a physical family, but they are just not my spiritual family and so I do still feel as if still an orphan... I don't just miss my spiritual, true parents; I miss my brothers as well, especially the one I can not remember his name but I remember what death caused him to become: The White Unicorn. I miss them... I really do. Now the only hope I have is for my time to come. To finish what was began, ages ago...

But at the same time this song does remind me of a dream I had when I was 5yrs old; I dreamed there deep in the woods. The Grey Ashwood King himself, an ancient wyvern whose wooded crown as grey as his age. His wings the canopy that shades the forest beneath from the scorching sun for all children not just the children of the moon, but all children whose home is not among mankind even the non-human children who are wayward and lost from their homes as well! This song reminds me of that dream because of the words "Will my garden settle you? Or will you follow your flight?"

Upon discovering Assassin's Creed at 12yrs, I realized, I am not the only one who faces the Shadows... Then I realized my purpose here on earth; to help them realize that they are more than just Assassins they are really Guardians against those who originate beyond God's Creation...

Honestly, growing up with Cerebral Palsy and Autism I have always felt much safer solely under the moon gently glowing upon the pitch black of night; my home is not the best as my family does not get along at all, and my mom always teasing and "messing" with me. But, it never bothered me because I have always feared something much worse: the Shadows themselves as I have Sciophobia because of the nightmares and living nightmares I have had to survive, and the shadows and their sharp tongues swarming my mind as their eyes continue to glow eerie purple; the color of the Void. And so now that I am 18yrs every night I still feel the presence of the shadows lurking among the cold breeze. But, even among the dark; the moon still consoles me as a living breathing symbol of The Traveler and even Selûne: "Ever waning, ever caring."! I know what I fear, but a fight I do not fear; The Shadows of The Void may be ever more frightening than mere Demons, but The Way of Unairu has taught me to keep doing what has allowed me to survive: "Resistance". For the battle was won before it ever commenced, The Art of War.

For me, it all started not when I was born here on earth; but when I was there in The Celestial Garden then all of the sudden darkness begin to leech into my home, not just my home but into me as well and so I left with the promise of someday returning. Then I spent so long at the bottom of The Abyss there in The Void; when I climbed through each and every layer The Void Council sought to "prohibit" me, but "resistance" preserved me until I reached the surface and saw for the first time in ever: the golden sunrise of sheer white gold. Then the Isla'tome gave me something I had not in a long time: a heart; then all of the sudden I saw a white flash and was born human! I know my past and my destiny yet I have a life here to "preserve" my sharpening until it is time for me to fight once more! For me: "Ever so soon"! This is only a summarized glimpse of my story! This is why I know and understand so much at "such a young age" because of what I have already been through. At least being born human means becoming even closer to the One who allowed me to be born here to experience even just a glimpse of His creation until it is my time to fight once more onward to home: The Celestial Garden!

Now that's the third game I would play just for the soundtrack! The first two were PvZ 2 and Endless Space (especially the Unfallen theme. Unfallen are living trees by the way 🥰) But the universe of this game is fabulous too! I love the cyclic nature and the animated spirits taking different tasks, or battle roles whenever the Oak would be attacked.

I really love this song, it is really good, and I agree with the messaging behind it, but I would like for you to please specify what are you referring to by traditional families? The values, the structure, the power balance, or the type of parenting?
@IanFontova
@IanFontova Ай бұрын
Thanks :) All these would go into what conforms the traditional family, in my opinion. The way I see it, the power imbalance is at the center, and all the values, kind of parenting.. are things that appear in order to justify and mantain that power imbalance.
@BeescyYT
@BeescyYT Ай бұрын
@IanFontova You're welcome! I understand your point, but I would have to say, that family structures that are traditional in general, like nuclear families, aren't bad, and neither are non-traditional families, but what the problem actually is, is what kind of individual people you live with. Trad and non-trad families all each have their ups and downs, some turn out to be healthy families, some aren't, regardless of whatever attributes the household has, and you could end up with either a good family, or a bad family. That's the problem that one must deal with. Whether the *people* you live with are good parents/guardians or not, is ultimately the decisive factor in what kind of household you live in.
@IanFontova

@@BeescyYT That is indeed the current reality but I don't believe it's the only possible reality. We organize society in a way that practically gives ownership of kids to adults, and that leaves it to chance whether abuse will happen or not. But we could do things differently! We could give kids the means to leave an abusive household, we could have communities make abusers accountable instead of protecting them. Parents can currently choose to be abusive or not, but they shouldn't be allowed to make that choice! It's easier for me to see it this way when I compare it to the workplace: if you're lucky and your boss is not an asshole, they might let you participate in the decision-making process in the workplace, they might pay you fairly. But it's totally optional for them, it depends on their good faith. So justice in the workplace is a matter of luck. I believe bosses should not have such power, because as long as it exists, some people will use it to their own benefit. I believe bosses shouldn't even exist 🤣 I'd even go further and say that having that power turns people into assholes over a certain period of time. Most of us can imagine different ways of organizing the workplace (even if it's difficult to make them happen in the current system), we should be able to do that with the family social structure as well. It's just difficult to imagine because we've been taught that the way things are is the only possibility, but there's actually many examples of people proposing different options and fighting to challenge this. I know it sounds scary, but reading about the anarchist perspective on family abolition has shaped how I see all this now. They're not proposing to abolish the emotional connections, only the role hierarchy plays into it. If you're open to read about it, I really love this text by Lee Cicuta: butchanarchy.medium.com/towards-the-abolition-of-the-family-d3f8f008cf6 This is the way to move forward for me :)

This is a tough medley to classify, because it covers the soundtrack of the three games and they are quite different from each other. The first two are a really cool fantasy/celtic/medieval/epic mix. And apart from the more orchestral/ambient tracks, they both have some "tavern" tracks (people call this genre tavern music) which are the ones I featured here. And then you have the third game, which is a mix between slavic/medieval/epic music, with many tracks recorded by the band Percival Schuttenbach, which I really love. You can look at the timestamps in the video description to see which tracks belong to each game :)
