Joe Walsh is a genius who invests much of his brilliance in making people believe that he is just not that good. He plays his guitar knowing where his fingers need to be 100 frets ahead, but plays a note and doesn't move off of that note until he is damn good and ready to move to the next note. His lyrics and musical creativity are so seamless that we just don't appreciate the genius, like a poet that is appreciated only many years after his death. Doubt what I say - I challenge you to listen to him, actually listen to several of his songs and then contradict me.
