Hi, Thanks for another great video. It would be awesome to also see some stats like what is your average consumption and range per day. What setup you usually ride with (Recuperation, modes, etc.)
@turbolaban14 күн бұрын
Thanks! I will try to make better note of stats for the 2025 season. I tend to forget about that part, but several people have asked, so I'll try my best to improve. As for riding setup, 97% of my rides are in Urban mode with medium regen. I sometimes switch to high regen if there are long, steep, downhill sections.

the ability to charge from camp-site pitch supplies looks fantastic. Are there any problems with this?.
@turbolaban19 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's great. Not all camp sites allow it, but as long as they say it's ok, there's no problem. I use an adapter from the blue caravan sockets to normal wall socket and an EVSE charging cable, aka granny charger. I also make sure to lower charging speed not to overload the wiring or blow a fuse at the site. Although the caravan plugs are rated for 16A, the rest of the wiring/fuses may not be. I can adjust amps on my cable, so I have that set to 6 amps most of the time. Plenty for over night charging. One could also lower the amps on the bike, of course.

What was the power consumption of the bike (average) during this tour ?
@turbolaban22 күн бұрын
Honestly, I don't have accurate numbers. I keep forgetting about these things. You are not the first to ask ;) I wish Energica would automatically keep track of consumption since last charge and current trip, like Tesla, but they don't, and I forget to reset the numbers. On average the range on Iceland was about 200 km, more or less. I will try to be more focused on this for future trips. Not that it helps for this one, sorry about that

Always looking for new passes to drive, the scenery is really great but I doubt if these small roads are suitable for a BMW Z4 G29...what do you think...how comfortable would I be driving a car up these roads ? (I'm familiar with Gavia which has some small sections too and loved that).
@turbolaban28 күн бұрын
Not the best to judge how well you would do with a car :D Definitely narrow at parts and you should expect to meet a few cyclists. Haven't been at Gavia, so can't compare. There were cars at the top, so certainly possible to get there. I think on the side I rode down from the Fauniera pass, there was a wider road than the one I took, that most people were using. Don't remember if there were other options where I went up. Loved this pass!

Hello, did you finally get ride of the charging error with supercharger ? What energica support offer to fix them ?
@turbolabanАй бұрын
No, no solution for Tesla superchargers in Europe, sadly. I don't expect anything to happen in the immediate future. As you may know, Energica is going through a liquidation process and all we can do right now is hope that whoever buys them will continue support and development. From what I have heard they had made some progress regarding supercharger support before everything shut down. As for the other chargers not working, I don't know if that is the same issue or something else. The Westfjords chargers failed in a way I haven't seen before, as they seemed to complete the handshake before failing. Some other chargers fail the same way as Tesla. No handshake/communication with the bike. Luckily, most non-Tesla chargers work fine, and the bike is great to ride ☺️

This is the first video I've seen with someone touring on an electric bike. Looks like every bit as fun as an ICE bike with added benefit of being so quiet. I'm not sure how long it will take for electric to catch on in the Great Northwest USA (Idaho specifically) but I'd certainly consider one. I rarely ride much more than 150 miles before taking an extended break so it might make sense. Closest dealer is 6 hours away so that's not so terrific.

Thanks for watching :) Yes, touring on an electric bike is pretty much like on an ICE only you fill up with electricity instead of petrol. And it is much more pleasant to ride, IMO. On long day trips where I need to stop for charging, I try to take my food and toilet breaks while the bike is plugged in. That way there is no waiting for the charge. It will be done by the time I am ready to go. If you haven't tried riding electric already, I'd certainly recommend seeing a dealer for a demo ride
