wow dude crazy i was at that very same exact 2014 Chitown warped tour although me and my friends are not from the city i actually did not see them play live and didn't discover them until maybe a year or two later i love the idea of harcore influences in pop punk and you can feel that in their early instrumentals kinda surprising that didn't become the norm for the 2010s

I was 100% about it when you mentioned Stimutacs as the best episode ever, because it objectively is. I've seen that episode probably actually over a hundred times. It's truly Sealab 2021's magnum opus. Then you mentioned TinFins, which is a perfect representation of how the same show can suck algae.

That's why I love bands who have multiple varieties of sounds like Turnover, Citizen, The Story So Far, Title Fight, Trophy Eyes, Boston Manor and Trash Boat. These bands I know for sure love hardcore when they were young but eventually, everyone will grow up and changed. I know some people hate these bands for shifting sounds but at the end of the day, we can't really blame them for changing.
@JawncoreIL2 ай бұрын
Amen brotha 👏
@TheBagel452 ай бұрын
I love most of those bands, but to say turnover or citizen or title fight have a giant change in sound is a stretch. Damn we went from emocore to emoindie. HOW INNOVATIVE. I seriously had to go back in their discography(s) to remember. All bands develop and change sound to a degree and as someone who loves Turnover I see your point. But ALL of these dudes stayed in their 4/5 piece rock roots. It's not like one of them is making fucking R and B or country music.
@bluepinkman47852 ай бұрын
@@TheBagel45 I didn't say that they made a "giant change" to their sound. I said that they have multiple varieties of sounds. For example, Title Fight compilation album sounded more like a melodic hardcore fuse with pop punk and post-hardcore. Then, Shed was more like a pop punk album than melodic hardcore. They even had slower and soft sounded songs like Safe In Your Skin and Where Am I. And then their third record, Floral Green, still sounded like a pop punk album mixed with shoegaze sound like Head In The Ceiling Fan, Lefty and In-Between. Lastly, Hyperview is a shoegaze album but still had fast tracks like Mrahc and Rose of Sharon. You can see the changes throughout the years. They have varieties of sounds like pop punk, melodic hardcore, post harcore and shoegaze. That's what I meant when I say they shift or changed their sound.
