So sad that the people in your state have had to suffer a terrible hurricane... I was actually trying to get down to visit NC (after multiple failed attempts) this October, but it looks like slim pickings due to Helene. Like they say, even though it's just a weaker tropical storm, the impacts are still far reaching. On another note, at least iHeart stations in Asheville didn't continue airing music during the worst of the storm and they actually aired live storm coverage even though they were small market.

Ah, Hot 99.5, the *ONLY* place for any new music in the DC area. In my opinion, it’s the best station in DC despite the sucky owners and I always tune to this station when I visit and get closer to Northern Virginia. They better not turn this station into what KISS 95.9 is on Delmarva (considering Seaford, DE, the place where that new Cabinet Discounters store is opening, is getting not-so-premium choice talent on 95.9). At least they still localize their afternoon talent… last time I visited northern VA a few months back they were just as much a part of the area as any locally owned station would typically be… even their talkback contest required you to excruciatingly name drop what part of the listening area you were in and their perks of being there.
