Eeeeh FatCats, you need to get us Mr. Bizimana and Mr. Mutebi on the same podcast. Those two gentlemen are just legends and have extremely brilliant ideas. Reuben and Ceaser have performed extremely well on this podcast as well. This is one of the best episodes you have done. Wonderful questions, wonderful story telling, and very good audio. Keep it up.

Mr Mutebi is stuck in one of the grieving stages so many years on. The 2006 NGO team had the X factor & its why we bagged not just the schools league trophy but every other title that year. We left everything on the pitch that day bringing pride & bragging rights to the great College. His view goes to show that win in whatever you do having to explain why you lost is not easy. 😂

I found Mr Mutebi teaching at SMACK in 2011and then when I went over to Kyambogo University in 2017 I found him there again and he taught me technical drawing in Civil.... He has a great personality👏 Professional in all he does both in Academia and in Rugby...

Mr. Mutebi is very right about the importance of a university league. About his 5 best players, Felix Lubega should be number one any day. Boy straight out of school into the national team starting at 11 and winning the African cup.
@kasulekawooya3 ай бұрын
To be fair to him, he didn't coach Felix that much, given the time he came into the game. Felix was an already established phenomenal player.

Great episode. 2:08:38 There's a narrative that is emerging and it needs to be arrested. The whole notion of beautiful rugby being played solely by SMACK, and Namilyango's dirty play or aggressive game. Namilyango has always had efficient forwards; they were never as big as the Budo forwards but they were faster and executed efficiently. Forward players are famed for being slow, but you had James Nakhosi Kimono (400m and 200m athlete), Kenneth Kafumufu (400m, 100m relay, high jump), Romano Ogwal (800m/400m), Joel Anguyo (400m), and Ronnie Mwisaka anchoring forward play. All of whom played both the 15-man and 7-a-side versions of the game. Alphonse Kishato was a noted sprinter for one of his size. We shouldn't negate the fact that the athleticism and endurance of Namilyango's forward play fueled the 4-peat run of the 2005-2008 period. On the other hand, these narrations are also driven by the notion of "the better team lost", which punctuated every SMACK article summarisng their rugby season between 2004-2008. Perhaps another player allegedly eye-gouged Felix Lubega. But Andrew Barasa has always been a gentleman player of the game. Great captain, humble. That aside, Mutebi was a great champion of the game. I was in his Namilyango classes and he would normally say "I get when the rest of the school boos me but at least you guys in this class should be my buddies, man."
