I've been following Binky, and seeing that engine bay makes me wonder how in h**l someone would even consider putting a larger engine and 4wd in that car! 😂 Miss the Miata based project of yours, but in kind of biased there.. keep up the good work!

Hello Jon, your “do what is needed” rather than replacing most of the panels is very interesting, refreshing and different from many other mini restoration projects shown on KZbin. The thing is you may end up with a car costing thousands less, that isn’t much different! Did you say what model and year of mini you are fixing? Best, David.

Thanks mate , i havnt said i dont think what year it is its a 1983 mini 1000 i think it said on the logbook i will check and mention it in the next video , i agree that you dont need to go mad on panels if what you have is ok all i want is a useable classic for summer meets and shows 👍🏻

I have the exact noise on my L200 after the engine over heated and the Head gasket was replaced after the head was shaved. The engine was removed and no problem was observed in the lower block, so where is my problem. Remember my head was shaved because the over heating caused the head to warped.

I was working on wiring for months on my car. Still a few more things to do. It is a long mission for sure. Plenty of relays, they enable a low current circuit to turn on a high current circuit. The trick is to get the car working before modifying the loom, then as you remove stuff you can keep testing along the way to make sure stuff does not stop working. One thing that got me was that some relays control other relays, you can test they work by putting a voltage across the coil, and then using a multimeter on the contact to check for a circuit once it has clicked. What's the budget looking like on this build?
@jonparry6846
