Hey guys, who plays lead guitar here? Sounds like David Hidalgo, but I could be wrong.

Many years after originally seeing this tribute video, yet I'm still compelled to watch it again and again. There's just something about it that draws me in. And that guitar solo from 3:10 to 3:55 is sublime.

This reminds me of a place I used to live, "The Warren House" I nicknamed it "The Wanted House" because of all the shady characters walking the concentration camp halls. It's too bad Section 8 housing gravitates to this low life existence which is an adventure for a few minuted but for some a life sentence. Too many wind up down there because of themselves so the victim theme portrayed a bit here is not entirely accurate unless it's the one just looking to save a few bucks. In that case any time you get a few bucks get out or someone will try to get your bucks from you. It's a fine line living on the edge romanticizing it and simply failing to find whatever it is you sank low to find out. If you lucky you can package it and sell it for a few bucks for yourself - if you don't die from the starvation.

Tom Waits is a pure genius in his use of words and music. I've been to many of his shows and never heard him play song the same way as before. He's like Dylan in that he is constantly reinventing himself and his words and music (sounds?). I first listened to him in 1967 and believe he is better today than he was when he was younger. If you ever get a chance go and see him. You won't regret it.

I saw this opening for the first time in a movie club when I was totally stoned. I couldn't take my eyes of the screen, I thought that I was dreaming my self. Great experience though. Thumbs up.

OK, that's just plain untrue. Your comments sound as if you haven't even seen Pulp Fiction. Plus, the second Kill Bill is very soulful and has a story and development; only the first one is simple revenge.

Probably the best film opening of all time. Just this one sequence is better than most movies coming out today.

8½ is about the struggles involved in the creative process, both technical and personal, and the problems artists face when expected to deliver something personal and profound with intense public scrutiny, on a schedule, while having to deal with their own personal relationships. It's about finding true personal happiness in a difficult, fragmented life as well as the alienating effects of modernization.

@SROCeallaigh Have you actually seen interviews with him? He is not modest. Let me know the deeper social contexts and humanistic elements within Kill Bill a part from simple stupid revenge story. He never explores the the human condition. Entertainment always has a context, nothing or no one is 'just' an entertainer. And any emotion he tries to project is shallow and without meaning.

Tarantino is a creator of trash. With but minor exceptions, everything he has done is a copy/paste of other film without any meaning placed into it. One could say he makes decent scripts, too bad he places no significance behind any of his word play. And he is fugly.
