My favorate down south where I grew up, is Rock Eel. It's not an Eel or a fish, it's from the shark family known as a Dog fish, and is battered and fried the same as Cod and other white fish. The meat isn't in rows of flakes. No bones just a spine made of carteliege along the middle, Sharks dont have bones. It's delicious.
