I was not yet five here, so the right age group for this programme. Remember watching it with Carol Chell presenting. I also recall going to Playgroup around this time! Now aged fifty four.

SPOILER ALERT: Although you must be caught up by now - Rob survived the stabbing - Helen was charged with attempted murder - but was acquitted, as one of the jury members went through a similar situation herself - or someone she knew did- and that juror was able to convince the rest of the jury to acquit Helen based on that account - Rob himself later got a terminal illness, from which he eventually died! The jury member who had experienced a similar experience was played by an Asian actress who was in EastEnders, the foreman was played by Nigel Havers and another jury member was played by Graham Seed, the late Nigel Pargetter!

I'm 100% sure Sky owns Heil Honey, as they bought the owners of Galaxy (which broadcasted the pilot)
@paulcarmichael23688 ай бұрын
HHIH was an independent production for British Satellite Broadcasting made by Noel Gay Productions. Like the majority of home made output being made by BSB it was not acquired by Sky. Rights issues meant shows made for BSB were only for broadcast in the UK. For broadcast overseas all contracts with all artists would have needed renegotiating from scratch. You wouldn’t do this. This is why Jupiter Moon continued production into 1991 but was not shown on Sky 1- it was already being paid for by a station in Malta which was already serviced by the Astra (Sky) satellite. So, in short, no. The rights are not owned by Sky. They never were.
Just seen this. Fabulous. I will watch this in the morning.

It isn't a film. It's a devised theatre piece. Seeing as you can't tell the difference between Film and Theatre I don't propose to waste much time worrying about your thoughts on this subject. Oh, nice original content you upload. (This is sarcasm, as you don't have any.)

Thanks for posting. I watched the Mousetrap London in 1978. it was great to see victor maddern as one of the players because I remembered him from the dick emery show at the time. He was great as usual. i didnt know he could do so many accents. A great talent he was. I have watched lots of films with him since and it was a bonus for him to reveal a great trick.

@@paulcarmichael2368Just upload it already. You aren't going to be sued, if you're so concerned, find a way to do it anonymously, It doesn't matter. The internet deserves to preserve this show and not have it rot away on a hard drive

It won’t “rot” on a hard drive. Several episodes have been passed to a distributor with a view to a limited DVD release in 2024. I won’t be uploading these to KZbin but I will put a video up with links etc when there is a preorder.

@paulcarmichael2368 Жыл бұрын
@@clouds-rb9xt Yes, really. These things take a long time. Episodes 1, 5, 7 and a much better quality copy of the Pilot are with the (probable/likely) distributor. All copyrights have been firmly established as have original contracts (paper copies!). 17 years since I acquired them but finally progress is being made. I will keep everyone up to date.

Actually, this show dates to some years earlier. I know, because I'd had the great good-fortune of being among the studio audiences for one of performances which took place at CBS Studios, on NYC's West 57th St, in the fall of 1981. Recorded over 3 consecutive nights, the video footage was edited into this single performance which was later broadcast, on PBS, the following year. As a young actor, fresh out of grad school, my then-wife and I had just moved to NYC, at the end of August, 1981. A dear friend and former acting teacher of ours, who was then heading up the MFA Directing Program at Columbia University, had received 4 tix to one of those performances, which he'd shared with us, and we accompanied him and his wife. This show introduce my ex and I to McKellen (whom we'd know nothing of, previously) and it was truly an eye-opening inspiration for us both! In fact, I still have my program from the CBS performance which we'd attended.
