This brings back memories of our trip to Japan last year. We stayed in the Shimbashi area close to the station. And this sound plays a lot when we are waiting for the train at the station. ❤

4.58 million yen is only $30.6k. I never thought Japan is such a low income nation.

Tbf prices are also alot cheaper which makes it pretty even with the US if you plan on only living in Japan but moving out of the country is a different story 🥲

Oh wow, there is *nothing* in this video about MOVING. Where is the info about MOVING/shipping/parcel services. All this "persona" did was relocate with a backpack and suitcase, which isn't *moving* that is called standard air travel (for a weekend trip, no less). Staying in an extended-stay apartment also isn't "moving", it's called taking a long holiday (which is only long in the US, it's normative in the UK and EU). Now, unless this persona is the creator of GaijinPot and the writer for this script, none of this is his fault; he's just doing what he has been scripted to do. Any 25 year old adult who has studied abroad in any major US, UK, or EU city knows these basics because this video is not about MOVING it is about taking an extended trip to Chiba on a standard tourist visa. I suppose you "implied" that you should sell all the things you've worked for your entire life, except what you can pack in a suitcase and backpack. /eye roll This video does the OPPOSITE of inspiring me to use GaijinPot, it makes me think the people who started this company don't really know what they're doing.

Hey, thank you for watching and sorry you found the title of the video misleading. We tweaked it to avoid confusion. GaijinPot has been helping foreigners in Japan for 25 years now, but we just started on KZbin so your feedback is valuable. Have a nice day!

Thank you for the informative video. I have a question about the point calculation. Let's say, a person obtained PhD degree from a Japanese University. Then, how much point will he get? For having a PhD: 30 Points. Will he get the bonus 10 points for graduating from a Japanese university or for completing a course from graduate school of Japanese University?

i worked in rural Nagano in the early 90s, in the JET program. Was up in Iiyama in the heart of ski country. it was AMAZING! i still go back and visit. Back then not many foreigners, good chance to learn Japanese and nice fresh air life. I would highly recommend it to a young person looking to broaden their horizons.
