I used to find these cartoons cute, but now they're just making up stuff. Not only is there no business that forces people to come in early for unpaid activities, it would be illegal if they did. I think this gen x author has simply read out of things to complain about, and it's now just making it up. Which is fine. Fictional cartoons are fun... but the fact that people are taking it seriously and believing this happens and they have to stand up to the big boss... give me a break. All policies have exceptions m. It is absolutely false there is no way to pay that overtime. I have been a manager for more than 30 years and you can always pay OT. If there is a mistake you can treat it as a bonus if the system does not get it. That manager is lying. When a manager makes a mistake like this (can be an honest mistake), it can always be easily solved. Do not take this BS from nobody.

Mind you, I think laws against recording when only 1 person consents should be struck down, but in 2-party states, it's currently illegal.
