I know this is 3 years later but thank you for this video! I just got mine a couple weeks ago and have finally tried to figure the sequencer feature out. It was a little confusing but your video cleared things up tremendously!

It's cool to know you can assign verb/delay to separate channels. I thought it was global.

a month later, gotta say this is an amazing tutorial. Love the machine, worst part of it is having to take it out of my setup so I can sleep with it and make beats in bed. Coming back to find your details about getting the kick to make your head bob

It’s probably one of the easiest drum machines to learn/use ever as far as programmable units go. I much prefer the 808 style of beat building over the groovebox style. This thing rules and once you figure out all the accenting and roll functions, it’s a game changer.

amazing tutorial, very helpful to whoever owns this beast techno machine. thank you

I own the tr-8s. Its a great machine but it has its flaws. One of them is that the sounds are a but dated. For modern techno, you need to upload new samples. Which it supports. Its just a pain in the ass. The best use for Tr-8s as I see it now is as midi controller for ableton. There are videos about that, so be sure to check them out.

This is all amazing, but why doesn’t anyone demonstrate straight forward, no-nonsense rave with this thing? Not showing off what you can do with it feature wise, but demonstrating its practical musicality to people loving melody?
@Steph_7d77 ай бұрын
Its arturia, everything they make is quality from the build to the sound. Now with the polybrute 12 theyve made the best synthesizer of the modern age. If only there wasnt a damn politician created affordability crisis.

Need some help….thanks to a very understanding wife and Santa- we have a TR8s! However have an issue with sound from channels- certain channels- BD, SD etc are really quiet- barely hear them. Only way to change is going into the Shift/ Inst mode and go to PAN and adjust up- can hear then, but as soon as you change pattern- no sound again……. I am bewildered!!
@DankLiveAF Жыл бұрын
Is it new from the factory? If so exchange it for a different unit. If you bought used or somehow can’t get you money back then try to do a factory reset. It sounds broken.
@Paintbynumbers29 Жыл бұрын
It’s really odd! You have to add Gain and move away from PAN centre on each channel every time you change pattern?? Looking to get it replaced I think

Love the hats on the impact but for me the snare is weak. I run mine with a TR-06 for snare & BD. The bass drum on the impact has no click on it. I don’t like that much. Impact is great overall though. The sequencer is superb.
