Today was my first time playing the game. I started as a slave because I heard it makes leveling certain things easier and you don't starve etc.. after a while I felt confident enough to escape and ran away with some other liberated slaves. I forgot to take food with me, so I ran to a city, which of course was part of the Holy Nation. They saw through my disguise captured me and I can't leave my cell because of the high amount of guards standing there (it's like 40 guards, I kid you not). So yeah, I'm an Ex slave now who rots on his prison cell waiting to die (if they would let me)

Such a great game. I love how you start as a nobody and the world doesn't care if you live or die. Survive long enough and you can rise to become the leader of a faction or a nation, or be hated by all. Either way it's a blast!

For some reason, youtube occasionally, as in every couple months, recommends various Kenshi stories people make despite me A) never having owned the game, B) never looking it up. But each and every time it does I keep thinking to myself "Man, this game looks brutal, but super fun at the same time." But I know these kinds of games are the only things that turn my adult sense and responsibility into dust and consume my every waking second, but boy, this little story made me lean ever so much closer to buying this game.

Second to highest option on the list (ex. 1920x222) in 60hz how to increase spore's fps: WARNING FIRST: DO NOT HAVE SPORE RUNNING DURING THIS PROCESS WARNING 2: OWNING "Creepy cute parts pack" WILL PREVENT THE CHANGES FROM WORKING. THERE ARE SEPERATE STEPS TO FIX THAT, THOUGH. Open File Explorer, open program files x86 (in your "C:" drive), open "steam", open "steamapps", open "common", open "Spore", open "data", open "Config", open "Config Manager" with notepad, scroll to the bottom using the side wheel, and copy paste the line "intProp frameLimitMS 4" one line after "endif". Go back to spore's config folder after saving the previous change and open "Properties", scroll to the bottom of properties, add a line. Copy and paste this line into the bottom after the last line. "property frameLimitMS 44 int" These changes will not break the spore game if done incorrectly. They will prevent launch if incorrect, but can be fixed easily with no consequences. If correct (and it's pretty easy to just find both files and scroll to the bottom to paste in their respective lines), spore will run at 100+ frames a second, depending on how strong your PC is. With how old the game is, these high frame rates are easy for low end modern devices to handle. Changing spore to HD was always an option, but you probably never found out if you didn't poke around in the settings. I'm pretty sure you can only up the screen size and frequency within the Galaxy menu, though.

quick advice, don't run away while being shipped to a slave camp until you're deep in the desert. then you can stop walking, and let everyone else leave. makes escaping slavery a breeze
