Still worth checking their websites, some stay open a long time (til mid next year to start in Sept next year) so I don’t think it’ll be too late for all the schemes

I'm a bit late to this but I don't suspect things have changed much. This is very helpful indeed. Could I ask, are you saying that from your experience people were applying for banking, accounting and consultancy jobs at the same time, so many don't pick a particular route? Is this because the plan for most is to stay in that role for 3 years or so and then exit into industry? Also, from your experience and knowledge of your piers, is there a particular degree which maybe provided a better chance of success in your experience. I note you studied A&F. You also have Economics, the new Economics & Management and other business related degrees at Warwick? Thanks

It’s a chance for me to network with major employers like PwC, EY etc and a chance to attend talks and workshops. Do you have any advice on maximizing this opportunity and networking effectively? What topics do you think I should discuss and how should I be approaching employers to get a chance to make a valuable contact or get an opportunity. Also I saw in your videos that you had attended a careers fair, how was the experience for you and what was the environment like? Additionally what did you talk about at your careers fair with employers and what were the common things they asked you? Your advice and answers to my questions would be highly appreciated. Thank you

I think the best thing to do at careers fairs is just go over and have a chat! You can ask about what roles they have available, what they look for in candidates, is there anything you can do now that they think will look good on your application etc - they’ll be used to having lots of similar conversations so don’t feel nervous about making conversation! Often you can do similar, especially at the big firms (e.g. for accounting the Big 4). Most offer apprenticeships which are similar to the graduate programs, but are often 4 years instead of 3 - definitely worth looking into if you don’t want to go to university!

A lot of people seem to have that goal but I’m currently not sure! It seems that most people leave audit shortly after qualifying 😊 a great perk of big 4 is that you can transfers internally too for either a secondment or even full time

I recently came across a comment stating that employers in the UK tend to prioritize elite Russell Group universities such as Oxford/Cambridge or Edinburgh etc. As a foreign student, I'm wondering if there's such a perception in the UK and if there is, how does the reputation of the University of Birmingham stand? Do you think I could have one personal statement that I can apply to universities for both accounting and finance and economics, like one common personal statement for both subjects or would I need to focus on just one path ie. either accounting and finance or economics? because im looking to become an M&A analyst and I saw that it is career path that is common for both economics and accounting and finance at universities like Warwick and Kings. thanks

Definitely! I was at an assessment centre with someone who had applied to Oxford for Economics and Management & to multiple unis for Accounting and Finance. Just make sure you don’t specifically say “this is why I want to apply to economics” etc 😊

Hi they have new stock quite often but I’ve seen the Dionysus there for quite a while with different colours too 😊 if you’re wanting current stock, best thing to do would be to call the store!

They have other shops too like Tommy Hilfiger, Ugg, Calvin Klein, Sweaty Betty, Under Armour etc which are a lot cheaper than the high end designer shops 😊 For example in Under Armour you could get a sports top for £10 from £30

Yeah I know , I was in Bicester village 3 years ago ( was visiting from outside Uk) got big Prada bag for about 700 something and for and 2 burbery top , the prices were pretty good deals can't remember the prices but Maybe I was lucky then But thank you for showing the prices so I can budget and plan well for my next trip

Hi! Depends dependant on which modules you choose. In your first year there are 10 modules which may seem like a lot, but given the assessments are quite varied it seemed very manageable. Different modules also have varying contact hours too 😊
