Loved the stranglers since 1977...bit of a dip early 90s..but kept going...always put on great shows..bit disappointed in stage set..tbh..thought they would have had projected image's of all album sleeves and singles..but hey...whatever..griminblack 😮

Forgive me for asking, the other day I watched and listened to a video of Hugh Cornwell doing a Stranglers 'toon with a Jean-Jaques Burnel mimic on bass. Why mimic, why not get back to where you where? What's the problem?

Yeah it was a good gig but the armadillo just doesn't seem like a stranglers venue, especially with it being all seating. Everyone having to get up and make their way to the very very was slightly unfair on those in the front row who had paid good money for their seats, should just be standing at the front.

They are the stranglers. Baz is better than Hugh on stage and has been eith them longer than Hugh ever was. Dave and jet obviously sadly aren't able to make it any more and the other 2 guys play just as well and fit in brilliantly.

@@BLADE_RISE They are quite frankly a tribute act now - sadly but true! Hugh was the voice- all the classic albums in the classic line up was HUGH- That's reality!!

I've seen The Stranglers many times since the early 80s and witnessed the original line up go through changes but they still have the essence of the original line up. Bazz is a better player than Hugh ever was and I still love this band. Jet has gone, Dave has gone but it is still the Stranglers. Cheers Ian for this.

Colin was in his old home town of Melbourne, Australia in early November 2022. He had 1000 people in the palm of his hand for 2 hours - not a cough, not a foot shuffling on the floor. Just his songs, range of stories and guitar(s). Infinitely amazing.
