Im sorry, but i worked 35yrs in the medical field. Met a lot of awesome people. Also worked with some veey toxic people. My advice? CYA,(Cover Your As*) that was our motto. Nurses, doctors, Aides, Patient Techs, specialies, they will eat ur butt up for breakfast, and spit u out at dinner. Just mind ur business, and dont break the chain of command. You arent at work to make friends. Nobody at ur job is ur friends. Associates at best. Your there to do a job, and do it the best of your ability. Just do ur job and keep ur nose clean. 🥰

Simply brilliant discussion. I started my work life at 16 at a Marriott group in 1975 and still recall some of the very work culture things that you and jon discussed. jon's assertion that "It is the people you surround yourself with that makes an organization successful" is something that I was taught by my district manager for marriott Mike Keener who instilled that in me. Reminds me of something that my father once shared with me: It is not what you know it is knowing what you do not know. Find those who know what you do not know and you will be successful.

Sir... You are so wrong on the attitude and feelings of those people that I don't even know where to begin explaining to you why this video is either completely right, but about the wrong people or completely wrong, but about the right people. Actually, that last one may be fine. If this is how you think about them, I'm sure they also want nothing to do with you and will stay far away, minding their own business like they were already doing.

I love the question "What did we learn from this?" Today I had a speech schedule for 1 pm EST. My host said she could not be there, but she knew there would be dozens of people in attendance. At 1:25 PM EST, no one had showed up. I eventually found out my host told her team the session was 2 pm. What did I learn - I need to be copied on every email message regarding my sessions so I can see what is said. Thanks Garry & Joey
