I have multiple quads, but I have a 1999 arctic cat 500 it wants to max out at 30 but it’ll do about 47 and over itself anything past 30😂

Riding a 2 stroke is like getting on your girls back and putting a finger in her cornhole and hanging on for dear life

You should instead of getting another quad get a bike I have a suzuki rmz250 great bike and I recommend it if you looking for one.

I bought my first 2 stroke and I’ve been on 2 rides, do you really have to rev it out to get the powerband? The bike feels fast but it doesn’t feel like it’s got a sudden violent burst of power.
@cwoutdoors45223 ай бұрын
Yes you do haha, that’s the whole point on a 2 stroke. It’ll be very noticeable when you hit powerband.

Had my honda recon for 60 years and let me tell you 4 wheeling fuel injected shit bags I've never turned it on and that thang has been a blast to look at. Never needed gas, never needed nothing. get yourself a Honda recon its going to outlive all the other highend atv's that's robbing you of all your money.

I have a 2024 Honda recon and fuel mileage is phenomenal
You don't need to use to clutch to change gears !! Ur already riding it wrong
@cwoutdoors45222 ай бұрын
Dude stick to the basics…you learn as you go but you’re never going to teach a newbie well by complicating things for them. Yes you don’t need the clutch to change gears but it takes some skill to do that. You think that’s a good idea for a beginner? 😂

What are your thoughts on engine breaking? I see you do it sometimes and wondered if you had any tips.

Just a tip. Stop dropping the bike. Motor is on its side. Oil will travel into places you do not want to be. And damage motor possibly.

The alterra 300 the tracker 300 and The brute Force 300 are all the same mechanically. Kymco a Taiwanese engine manufacturer makes the motor for these three. It's actually a 270cc motor. Not sure who makes the carburetor but it is a carbureted unit unfortunately even in 2021 it could have been electric fuel injection. The only thing different would be the creature comforts. Plastics and all of that is up to their individual manufacturers the way Kawasaki does the park brake lever that's Kawasaki. And the way that alterra and tracker 300 have the front end that looks like a little riding lawn mower that's all textron. I really wish Yamaha would come back out with a 250. Just like the bear tracker from 20 years ago that I currently ride. Just upgrade the following. Electronic fuel injection instead of a carburetor solid rear axle and front shocks instead of McPherson struts. And they're tried and true ultra-matic CVT would be the best machine ever would be perfect for trails perfect for farm users.

This may be my next ATV! I love Yamaha bikes, I've got a 1985 225DX 3 wheeler, absolute fucking tank. If you ever think about getting a 3 wheeler, O highly recommend that one. My dad has a Raptor 700 and that thing is also awesome, but I couldn't afford one of them any time soon. But I'm glad go see that the Warrior 350 is a good quad
