Strategy? The game is essentially a race to your finisher. Nothing strategic about that at all.. and to make it worse you gain your finisher in a blink of an eye. The gameplay is fundamentally flawed because of that. Just because it’s an arcade game doesn’t mean matches should be the length of a street fighter match. Here comes the pain played like an arcade game and the matches had length to them. Ive seen people lose an online match in under 2 minutes, that’s just flat out pathetic And locking main active wrestlers, old game modes, caw parts and fake arenas behind a pay is some of the most predatory practice I’ve seen a game do. It took them over a year to add a tournament which is one of the oldest modes ever and they had the audacity to charge for it. FF deserves all the heat it got

Which wrestling game does have strategy to it then? Because I have videos on this very channel of me easily defeating the CPU in under 2 minutes on legend difficulty in 2K games. Online matches don’t last much longer in my experience either. I won’t argue that the lack of game modes and playable wrestlers is lacking. Nobody will disagree that FF should’ve been a lot better. But it’s still a fun game in my eyes.

@@MainEventMinute the avg match on 2k isn’t 2-5 min like FF.. please find me multiple online matches on 2k where the match ends in 2-3 min because I can literally pull up so many on FF. This game is literally a race to your finisher and you don’t even have the chance to kick out.. you can’t have a good competitive back n forth with an actual person let alone a bad AI . Idk how it can be fun when there’s no wrestling content in it. Only 7 match types will get stale so fast and 3 of them are restricted to 1 on 1.

There are plenty of >5 minute online matches from 2K on KZbin, a quick search will give you what you’re looking for. Nobody is saying you have to find FF fun, or even like it at all. It’s an alternative option to the other wrestling games out now and doesn’t play like anything else. That’s why some people like it, myself included.

@@MainEventMinute but that ain’t the avg online match on 2k and you know that. I’ve seen plenty back n forts going 8-12 min. That’s like almost impossible to see in FF and if the match did go that long is because guys are getting out the ring. That’s just fundamentally flawed gameplay if that’s the only way to have a long back n fort. I wish it was an alternative but this is a joke. The game lacks 2 decades of content / features. I was hoping this would be a good game but it ended up being worst than 2k20

I only played Raw 2 when i was growing up. I spent hours on this game after coming home from school, and listening the music playing in the main menu. I think on my old xbox i created around 20 custom characters and even was was more fun was making there entrances and that xbox can allow you to rip music from the music library to add in the entrance, there are some funny move animations that i thought was funny. Seasons i really enjoyed playing and was excited when i got a title. When it comes to matches i always picked Nick Patrick at a referee, he counted the slowest.

Excited for The Wrestling Code, but the lack of updates other than roster additions has me worried. It’s a smaller company and they signing a LOT of wrestlers. Worried they’ll either run out of money and have to shut down or all the money will go to the roster and nothing else.

I think for what it is it's a fun game the gameplay is amazing and the moves look awesome I just hope that maybe in the future we can get modes implemented for you know blood and guts or trios matches and maybe title belt updates to add new titles to the game and I love the game

@@doomaux for me they would just walk off by trying to attack me, but when they would jump on to the branch I would roll into them and knock them off with the great sword. Hope this helps a little

I would rather ultra pro, and wrestling code take at least another year in development. They both look like they need work. Especially the Wrestling Code. That in ring stuff looked bad.

I don't know if it's possible, but I'd love to see a wrestling game where the idea was not to win the match, but to work with the opponent to get the right result with the most exciting match possible. You'd need to have controls to sell moves for example and a way to switch between the heel heat and the comeback, or selling for a hot tag... Everything wrestling game is just a beat-em-up in wrestling clothes, I'd love to see something try to deal with what pro-wrestling really is

@@neilbiggs1353 yes! That’d be spectacular! Fire Pro Wrestling World is the only game I’ve played that comes close to caring about the match. In the career mode, you’re instructed on how to take bumps to build the match’s rating. It’s a pretty good game, I recommend it if you haven’t tried it yet. 2D graphics though if that turns you off

I think one thing that AEW is missing features like tornado tag matches, like 3 v3, hell in a cell and proper backstage options. Otherwise a great game.

I'm a little bit concerned that every animation in Ultra Pro wrestling looks like it was literally lifted straight out of the N64 WWE games. I hope that's not the case and they're just doing that for now until they can make all their own animations.

All the AKI animations + brand new ones will be included. There’s a DLC roster of over 70+ wrestlers - most of which have moves that have never appeared on those classic N64 games 🎉
