You need to look up how to complete a square binomial. There are two terms, and we need a third term for trinomial that factors into a square binomial. Take half of the middle term and square it - then add it on. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJfRgoxsn7CZZqc

how do we know if we are using Z stat or T Stat?

Here in this book/class if we do not know the Population Standard Deviation we use the T Test. This is a sample here, so we are using T Test. Although The central limit does kick in around n = 30, where the T distribution is basically normal. But the rule here is that we don't know the true standard deviation of the population. So T Test.

What did you do at 1:05 to speed up the process of filling in the cells with your formula?

I just paused the recording and finished it. I should have done another method though. Enter 20 in D3. then in D4 make the function: = C4+D3 hit enter, and drag that down. This way it will add the columns up in order and you won't have to do what I did.
