Congratulations on the new house! Looking forward to seeing how you decorate it! Also, wanted to let you know that the lady bugs inside your home may be Asian lady beetles. Something to look into because they can be a nuisance and also they bite/sting.

Love to see you back on here! Can't wait to see more of your journey! 🤍 Feliz Año Nuevo!! 😊 Question.. does Isla feed throughout the night? Or does she feed before bedtime.. wondering how you transitioned her to sleep on her own if you're breast feeding? I find it hard to have them sleep on their own when I breastfeed. I end up co sleeping and I'm just ready to sleep throughout the night lol 😂
@NathalyRaya16 күн бұрын
Hi! Happy to see you here too!!! Feliz año! She wakes up around 3am 9/10x But I’m already used to it. So I’ll hear her moving around, get up, pump for 7ish minutes, and by that time she’s already making louder sounds. So I’ll go and fill her bottle up, give it to her, while she drinks it (she holds it herself) I change her diaper, and just go back to sleep. I’m up for maybe 10 minutes every day around that time. She’s been on the same schedule for monthssss already. So it got very easy
@NathalyRaya16 күн бұрын
She also sleeps in her own room. I close her door, but leave mine open. I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! 😅 I stay ready. It was a lot mental prep though! From the moment I got pregnant I told myself daily, I would kick ass. It’s always hard to set a schedule, but all it takes is a few nights of trying and you’re set for long! Now she’s down for bed by 7:30pm daily🙌🏼 just wakes up that 3am time, and then sleeps until 8:30am!
@jacquelinesolis838316 күн бұрын
Oh wow! You go girl! I struggle big time with that. I have my daughter she's 4, my son is about to be 2 next month and a 3month old baby boy. They all sleep with me and my husband. lol they have their own bed in our room but somehow manage to sneak in our bed in the middle of the night. Idk but we aren't ready for them to sleep alone in their bedroom lol 😖so I guess that's what we will have to do eventually. Have you always pumped and bottle fed her? I exclusively breastfed them all so maybe that's why it's hard for me to have them sleep on their own as a baby it's easier for me to just latch them on specially if I'm so tired. Ahh hopefully I get the courage to sleep train them. 😊

@juliedavis299621 күн бұрын
Did you soak the husks in water first ? Kudos to you .. I’ve only made tamales by myself only once in my lifetime.. lol 😅 Growing up , my parents did tamales for New Year’s Eve .. we had a “production line “ going .. I also don’t like a lot of masa in my tamales.🫔 Now, it’s so much easier to buy tamales from my local bakery.

I did soak them! Just about over night. And wow! Just once Julie!? But you’re right, purchasing local is much more convenient. Here in Hawaii they go for $20 half the dozen, or $35 the dozen.
@juliedavis299621 күн бұрын
@ Yikes .. that’s pricey .. I get them for about $14 for a dozen .. Or free from my cousin. Even in Phoenix Arizona they are about $15 a dozen .

Anyone from, currently stationed, or been to Tennessee before??
@V100-e5q22 күн бұрын
Just for a few days on vacation. I guess you will like it there. I would miss the ocean and taking a dip. Or even surfing. (Took two hour lesson on Maui once) But, living myself just half a mile from the North Sea, I have not put any saltwater on my skin in over 20 years! When we had a vacation home before in the area that time we tooks swims. But now that is available (40F !) close by I don't. Lesson from life: Appreciate what is close by so you don't regret not having it when it's gone.

Venmo @Debra-Conn-88 I can relate to the moving and making new friends. I was an army brat. We moved every 3 years. It was hard for me to make friends. I was a shy/quiet person. Spent my teenage years in Germany. Had some good friends. We left Germany 3 weeks into my senior year. It was hard making new friends at the new school. I always said : see you later, never said goodbye. I wish you all the best at the new duty station. Merry Christmas! The girls are so cute. Isla is a mini-phoenix! 😊looking forward to your new adventures!

11:30 I can feel you. We were once traveling through Mexico (Copper Canyon by train) and stayed at a motel run by an American (US). At the breakfast table there were these thermos bottles with a lid to open. Not those pump affairs. And after filling the cup I noticed a little "bump" floating on top of my coffee. First I thought it was undissolved creamer hiding under the froth. But lo and behold it was a cockroach. Guess how happy I was! Luckily it stayed in the cup and I didn't make contact. Later the owner apologized profoundly and offered us a free tour to some cave paintings closeby. Which we accepted. But I still wondered how that alien creature made it into the thermos. The owner hinted to the produce where they could hide when it was brought in from the market. To me an acceptable explanation. But doing some climbing into a stainless jug? But then they are able to fly I was told. Anyway, the motel was a pretty clean affair. Things can happen.

9:39 I still remember that you once considered having a job done on them. (Because: First I am a man and second not a fan of large ones.) So I wondered whether you got naturally what you really asked for and spending money on in the first place? Sorry, if that is too indiscreet.
