What’s funny is that pyro is arguably weaker after the jungle inferno update. Not only are the new weapons added to him not remotely good in comp, he also can no longer stunlock ppl with airblasts anymore, making it harder to combo. In addition, afterburn is also revamped to that it will only run the full course if you spray the person for a while (which honestly you can just kill the person on the spot)

I’ve about had it with the game. Feels like every time I’m attacking with a 20 against a 12 I somehow loose meanwhile also loosing while defending with a 100 against a 105… in balanced blitz.. makes zero sense. Great played games ending in the dumbest ways possible and consecutively, back to back.

great list although i would argue medic isn't the strongest class in the game, instead he's the MOST IMPORTANT class. Medic is basically worthless outside of healing which doesn't make him a well rounded class but since what he does is so important he's crucial if you want to have a good chance of winning. Personally, I consider strong and important as 2 different subjects. I consider "strong" as like very good in combat and having good mobilities, which makes the class very well rounded. In this regard, scout soldier and demo will top the list as they're the generalist combat classes. As for pyro vs spy, I actually think spy is the better 1v1 class since the revolver deals a pretty good amount of burst damage and has a decent range (never underestimate a spy with good revolver aim). I'd argue a spy caught in the open has a better chance of survival than a pyro caught in the open mainly cuz spy has a significant range advantage. Also I'd say that pyro as a whole is weaker than before after the update mainly you can no longer stunlock ppl with airblast. Although overall id say pyro slightly ahead of spy mainly cuz pyro at least has a very good team utility (airblast).

These issues also translate over to casual (unless teams are unbalanced enough to steamroll). I honestly can't think of any real solutions other than making the maps physically smaller and the points closer together or just increased respawn times as Uncle Dane suggested. However as you replied, a 30-40 second respawn just isn't fun and also for the map shortening thing, then we'd see a lot less cool and fun rollouts which is a real specialty that comes from the 5CP maps generally being so open and long. The only other idea I have that maybe could be worth an attempt is making the defending team spawn a little further from last. Most of the stalemates I've been a part of are largely caused by how easy it is to hold last for expended periods of time due to just how close the spawn is. Obviously the defending team should still have an advantage, but adding a little bit more of a walk to defend it could maybe fix the stall-related issues that are so common in this mode. That being said, I do actually like how long 5CP games go on in casual. From a casual POV it's like a more competitive hightower/2fort game that actually ends eventually. You get the benefits of a longer game while still keeping some stakes and therefore keeping the fun up a lot more, so I'd be curious if maybe the comp maps only got their own set of changes, it's not like valve themselves run TF2 comp so it should be pretty easy for the community to test out. That way TF2 casual stays casual and fun but comp could fix the stalemating issue that's so boring to watch/spectate/play competitively.

maybe dont let people swap classes mid game and remove the class limit. Like in league of legends you are stuck with the team comp you started with. so 3 demos works on last but not at mid fights. if u cant swap classes then the no class limit is less broken.

i like to get used to viewmodels and how the gun fires reloads etc so when i turn them off for a prolonged period of time, i lose that habit and end up spamming my shit. i have it bound to a mouse button and i've found a good balance of viewmodels on/off. i switch them off when i need to get the weapon out of the way and on when i'm admiring my shiny gun

How do I download the config? The page got updated, and now there's no download anywhere, only a text that says download but doesn't lead to anything.

Make the crossbow medieval mode only. Give every needle gun a right click crossbow bolt. The bolt consumes all remaining needles in the clip. The bolts have the same healing/damage regardless of needles remaining when it is fired.

Feel like the first two tips were contradicting each other. Don’t keep army on border but then take a card each turn… but we need an army to take territories for card draw. I’m assuming they’re different stages of the game but as a new player I’m still lost at which time you suggest each tip🙁 I’ll be watching a few vids to see the style you play though 👍

As medic, I like it when everyone calling me. I am guilty for giving a little bit more overhealing for those who spam E. But that's doesn't mean I'm ignore silent/shy/confident teammates, I'm trying my best to heal everyone who needs it. Just those who constantly call medic might get a little more my medical attention.
