Your work is so good. I didn't know anything about JJ and RW. Thank you!

Robert Walker was an outstanding actor. When Jennifer Jones had an affair & married David O. Selznick, it just destroyed him RIP 💙💥

I agree he was very talented. Thanks for watching!

This was fascinating! I learned of Robert Walker after watching strangers on a train and thought he was amazing, but I had no idea of this backstory and that that was essentially a comeback performance. What a tragedy and a tragic life, I don't recall if you got into this but did he also have a difficult childhood?

I was also introduced to Bob Walker through Strangers on a Train and was blown away by his performance, and wondered why I had never heard of him before. I did some googling and learned of his tragic death and backstory. I do get into his childhood a bit in Part 1 of this series if you would like to know more. He came from a Mormon family and had some issues with his mother. I also think he struggled with mental illness; whether that was brought about by biological or circumstantial factors, who knows. Thank you for watching!

My favorite film is Portrait of Jenny. I always wondered what happened to her. Sad.

Jennifer was part of David's roster of natural looking actresses starting with Vivien Leigh and followed by Ingrid Bergman. The catalyst being Vivien's makeup and hair had to reflect the period of the Civil War in Gone With the Wind.❤

David was enthusiastic, bombastic and talented. It was a mistake to get involved with Jennifer. I think her life with him was unhappy. Generally I think she lived a miserable life.

I agree; due to the times, I don't think she would have had a career if she rejected Selznick's advances, yet it all came at a huge personal cost to Jennifer.

@@affairarchivistI read her biography and have her autograph. I attended the 1998 Oscars and she was there! Jennifer was so beautiful. And as a teen I had a crush on Selznick. That was during my Gone with the Wind phase. 😊
