Great writing. When you said, "in the year of '15," your prose and narration painted me the picture of 1915 lol. It felt like a great start to Poe or Lovecraft story. I was jarred when the character had earbuds lol. Very engaging, tho. Hope you post a lot more!

The only small shame is Anthony Hopkins so horrendous and incomprehensible italian dialogue, and the absolute metric butchering of Dante's poetry. think of not quoting Shakespeare in iambic pentameter, it dilutes the work. I know that Anthony Hopkins is a native English speaker, but more work with a dialect coach should have been done here.
