The show perfectly shows how deceitful both Italians and jewish are, when it comes to business. Nuck did everything right, fair and by the book.

I love that moment at 8:30 where you can see Meyer is just as, if not much angrier than Charlie is. That smile is vicious.

It’s a genius and faint detail…but when Leo is signing the insurance policy, how he holds the pen speaks to his lack of education.

I’m not sure what you’re basing that on. Only person that has audio recordings is Myer. Luciano and Rothstien do not. Nor is Capone and don’t let the stupid KZbin videos fool ya. They’re all fake.

The first scene never made sense to me, why is an underling not only eating with the bosses but talking and interrupt them as well? now, I understand that Lucky later becomes a boss. but at this point he's just Rothstein's muscle. so, why wasn't he out by the car like Darmody and Capone were?

wow...holliwood...again illustrating how the...hidden world...of things works. I wonder sometimes....what meaning and quality of REALITY they actually REALLY convey to us. Or if it is part of the perpetual manipulation-alienation. In any case, from what I just saw, this fragment, from this series....(which I didn't know about) ...I'm afraid that...EITHER THIS TIME...Holliwood is going to inform us SERIOUSLY.. and yes, REALLY misinform about the ONLY reality of what happened. Well, there is only ONE...and it is MORE COMPLEX than the one that can be conveyed in a movie...even in a SERIES...IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE, JUST AN ALIBI...to justify why Holliwood has NEVER been around to show REALLY Reality and yes recreate with the product a value that is its own but alienating to the consumer... OF MASS, INDUSTRIAL, AND IDEOLOGICALLY UNPUNNED PRODUCTS... ALMOST... NEUTRAL, ... EXAMPLES OF FREEDOM OF TRADE, .. .WHICH MORALLY HAVE TO BE PROTECTED..., EVEN IF THEY ARE ENDING EVERYTHING AROUND US. Around each one...who consumes...or does nothing.

After seeing this I realize Arnold, although smart, would have made a wiser descision to have swapped Meyer and Lucky in both Chalky’s and Nicky’s first interactions. Both bosses and right hand men. It probably would have altered the whole show probably history if it had been fully documented.

I watched this show when it first came out, and I’m baffled they didn’t do a spin off leading into the 5 families. Major opportunity missed here wi th such great actors!

Interesting how once Rothstein cut ties with Luciano, his ultimate downfall began. By season 4, Rothstein had been squeezed out of the heroin business by the Italians. But Luciano stayed partnered with Meyer and eventually became the Godfather of the Italian mafia. An Italian and Jewish partnership. Probably the best analogy for the expression '2 head are better than 1.'

Great little detail showing Rothstein betting on his Pool game against Luciano. As a gambling addict, he was always chasing the thrill of winning/losing money.
