All BGS 10 Pristines would grade as PSA 10, but not all PSA 10s will grade BGS 10 Pristine. That's the BGS difference!

Back when Fleer released this in 1986 I was slling/buying sports cards as a hobby. At most of the shows I set up at 1986 Fleer Basketball was not very popular, Baseball & football were what collectors were after. I remember stacks of these boxes sitting on tables unsold.

If someone sends a card in that has an autograph, but they only want it graded not the auto authenticated does PSA just grade the card and encapsulate it or do you still have to authenticate the auto to grade the card at all? Or does PSA put a note on the graded card saying the auto was not authenticated?

Don't yuo think that even if everyone was a beckett pristine 10 that 5 or 6 would be a smidge better. I would never send in more than 5 of any card that I think are 10s. Nice to be subjective but take 5 super models put them in a line and really tell me they are all going to be equal to each of us. Just an opinion that cost nothing. I would like to know how much Probstein paid Beckett to do basically nothing:)

People are paying $1,000 cold cash for Wemby Silver Prizm RCs in raw condition.... And there are $50 Lamelo Ball Silver Prizm RCs ALREADY GRADED in PSA on the market. So basically, pay the same price as standard grading and get the card FREE, the guaranteed grade of 9 for FREE, plus the option to crack and resubmit well centered cards for a shot at 10 (which can 5-6x value). Turnaround time gets cut from a month (standard PSA grading) to around a week or so from the major auction houses (Probstein etc). Sorry folks, time to make some serious cash with a market like this. Even before this, I look up registry files for cards. If they've ever been touched by PWCC, I won't buy them. It really, really pisses off sellers when you tell them that.

Every PSA fan, who doesn't understand BGS, need to watch this excellent video. BGS 10 needs to be placed right at the top where it belongs(~3x or more of a PSA 10). The value of a BGS 9.5 is not the equivalent of a PSA 9 either. That drives me crazy! This Injustice started during the pandemic. It was much different prior to that.

This guy cracked the card out of the PSA slab himself basically nullifying the buy back guarantee PSA offers. He rolled the dice, lost and went crying to get his money back from an imprudent decision. It’s one thing to do this on a $100 card. It’s silly to do this on a $34K investment.

This is why a company like TAG exists. Ty for sharing this. Tired of hearing the special treatment and easy black label deals. BGS is trash IMO….and not just because of this but because the slab is stuck in 1984. 🎉 and why not send it back in a plastic grocery bag. Those baggies are a joke. For the price they charge that is comical.🎉🎉
