kzbin.info/www/bejne/goW3ooKaatl-l9Usi=EzoeQpj42boqe_rc Les Bubb introduced me to Jack Stanford back in the 80s. Big Inspiration on my dancing clown journey. Used to do a lot of Eccentric dance / soft shoe shuffle in STOMP in my time touring with them. Gonna try and find some old footage of that. Inspired to make some anew now having seen this.

Brilliant Steve... incredible that you said its all been done before regarding style and moves ... Back in the 80,s people were doing some original moves and it never got recorded.... I'm sure everyone will agree.... from BCB

What a talented family. Jill herself really is a brilliant actress, who I've had the privilege of working with, but I've been following her journey researching her brilliant father, and it's fascinating learning about him. Brilliant man.

I wonder if Stanford was influenced by Chaplin, with the funny walks? Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr, Bill Bailey, Nicholas Bros must've been checking out Jack...possibly Stan Laurel but then could be going back to Chaplin.

Finally caught up with this. All the love POPZ🫶 So much shared history for those of us of an age. Filled pages with 2 Tone logos, skinhead drawings, before they became Hip Hop drawings, all pre Graffiti. Little timeline confirmation. Wild Style first shown on TV New Year’s Eve 1986. I remember coz it was the night my dad died. I watched it, even though I’d had it on a dubbed vhs for couple of yrs+, so I could see it with a clearer picture. Have an ambition to one day come to NZ, so we can finally meet. As I’ve always felt and valued our Conscious Connection🙏✌️ My Spirit Brother. Love your energy through this, infectious like Trix on the interview I watched the other day, saw you paying respects in the comment section😉

I feel that connection my bro. It’s a Jack ting like I mentioned the other day me thinks. We have the royal power without the responsibility of the Kings or Queens. Makes for a fun and lesson-full journey. And red Jacks too. Hearts and Diamonds. Haha! Not exactly sure what that part or any of it actually means of course… If anything… Prior to peeps projecting meaning onto it… But I like what it means to me having studied it a wee bit 😛. And yeah bro cheers for that HipHop/Graf timeline addition. Trippy synchronistics that your dad would pass the same night they show Wildstyle on TV for the first time. Like “My work here is done!… You got your toolkit for now” 🤩 And on New Year’s Eve no less. All’s new that ends new or at least as a clearer picture of the old! And yayyer you watched the Trix talk. Makes it seem like there must be something in them merry waters init bruv. Haha! NUTtingham biznis! Ha! So yeah bro see you in NZ sometime maybe then. Or the UK or wherever ! And maybe I’ll even see you on the back of Steves cab at some point? 🤩🙏🏽☯️♥️💥☀️🌳💧🌏🍇

Very very cool and amazing show guys! Top Top Top! I wonder why you cats didn't mention the whole beginning of the Post War Modernist Movement which actually started in Hamburg in the late 40's early fifties with the Europe (Germany) based US and Canadian soldiers and Sailors and Air personnel who while stationed in Europe after the war brought their free thinking, independence, Blues and Jazz records/Music Style and attitudes to Europe where before the War no Europeans knew what life was like in the West. With all youth of Europe living like slaves almost, with no future, no real life, no real choices until the war levelled the European way of life and opened it up to a very North American Rebellious way of life that is still the mainstay of Europe and the UK today. Like how Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Beatles, Rory Storm the US Military personnel who were serving in Europe and playing Blues shows and Jazz Shows in clubs from London to Hamburg to Paris and the Kids in Germany that became the first Beatnics Post War Modernists which then spread to the UK via the Beatles and the Pacemakers etc of was it meant to be a focus on the British phenomenon rather than the whole story? curious as I am a History freak and a Rude Boy Scooterist since 1971 in fact would love to chat with you mad men sometime! nothing as rewarding than a good History chat up! cheers to you for this! KTF
