That sucks about your Jeep A/C. My lake house A/C is suffering right now 😩
@johnkkkj9 күн бұрын
What I like about you is that you are a Jeep guy that also has a Subaru. So I would love to see more Subaru stuff from you. BTW as others have stated the orange on the bumpers are covers for recovery points, the ones under the car are for strapping it down for shipping. You should use the recovery points as this is a unibody design and you can possibly bend the body if you use the hooks on the bottom, at least that is what Subaru says. I can't imagine why Subaru does not drop the turbo into the Crosstrek. I have a Outback Wilderness and that turbo makes it lightning fast, can't imagine how fast a Crosstrek would be considering how light it is vs the OBW

Well offroaders like to say they are offroading but the trails all have names or numbers so the are or were a road at one time. I live in NJ which is the most densely populated state but we still have unpaved roads.

Now that you’ve had the Subaru Crosstrek for 5+ months, how’s the fit and finish of the vehicle? Have you experienced any creaking or rattling, any misalignment with exterior and interior panel gaps? Any issues with your Subaru during your ownership experience?
@ADVENTURUSS3 ай бұрын
all good thus far! Granted, my wife and I both work from home, so we haven't driven it as much as some might expect. Having said that, it has been on several longer rides, and a couple forest service roads, and so far, everything is good.

@@ADVENTURUSSgood to hear! I’m doing my research now, and will be in the market for one soon. Looking for a reliable, somewhat off road capable vehicle. I plan on doing some light overlanding adventures with it. I love that the roof rack can hold up to 700lbs static load, for a good rooftop tent!

for sure.... and the towing capacity shouldn't be sneezed at either - in case you opted for an off-road trailer setup.

@ADVENTURUSS3 ай бұрын
I know its closed just after the horse camp when you enter at the Mills River Rec Area, but I think its only a small section of it in total. I haven't been out there in a bit, but I think you can still enter in from the West side as well. That section has been closed for quite a while, unfortunately.

Nice video. How much clearance is under that tree you crossed around 35 minutes into the video? My tallest part of my truck is around 86” (after upcoming suspension change). Would I fit? Looks like you ran the trail in around an hour or so on the video. Was that footage the entire trail?
@ADVENTURUSS4 ай бұрын
Im not really sure, tbh. I did this video quite a while back, and I haven't ran Hurricane creek in quite a while. That tree might not even be there any more. Having said that, it was probably 10-12ft based on the fact that my jeep is on 40s, with a 4" lift and a roof rack, and I didn't slow down when I went under it. And yeah, thats the whole trail from 40 to Max Patch Road.
