That sounds like a great twist on the classic Japanese spicy curry! I hope you enjoy it!

How spicy is this curry block? I have tried the medium hot but thats not spicy enough for me!
@Mytwocentsmedia2 ай бұрын
It’s spicy and tasty. It’s extra spicy enough to where you will feel the spicy and still enjoy the curry. It’s something you’re gonna to have to experience yourself. I can’t really describe it. I enjoyed the Japanese curry. I get my extra spicy from Amazon. Normally, you cannot find it in a regular grocery store. They only sell either hot or medium. Even the hot ones they sell is not spicy enough for me. I think the extra spicy just hits the spot.

Good job! I love that Wildfare Shatta. I just got a 1400 and 800 ml mess tins, so I'm collecting recipes. I'll definitely try this. I subbed!
@Mytwocentsmedia2 ай бұрын
I would definitely recommend that you would fry the pepperoni on one of the lids before adding it in the macaroni it taste better and crunchy like bacon and also I have introduced Tabasco sauce. Give it more spicy flavor. This is something I have changed to make it taste better and also I’ve tried with different cheese. This is just my two cents I’m sure you will make your own changes. Don’t have to follow my recipe. Try different things to make it taste better for you and thank you for watching the video.

I prefer rectangular shaped breakfast metal boxes especially with handle so usable as a mess tin cooking kit.

a.co/d/d8TjIsZ Telescopic titanium chopstick on Amazon. After a few months of use, they don’t stay retracted I suggest getting a regular titanium chopstick might not be easy to carry inside the cooking kit, it might be longer and not be able to store inside the cooking kit, but they much durable than these telescopic chopstick, but it’s your choice.

How much rice do you use for that size mess tin. ?
@Mytwocentsmedia6 ай бұрын
There’s 198g in one cup so I’ve used a quarter cup so that’s 49.5g and 5oz water(16oz 2cups of water for one cup of rice) I just add a little bit more of water. It will be fine. Before you start cooking, you have to let it soak for at least 30 to 45 minutes. You can cook up to half a cup of rice, which is 99 g and add 9oz of water. That is for two people or two meals. After you cook once or twice you get the experience it takes her on 22 minutes on a pocket stove or if you use one of those emergency stove it’s gonna take care 30 minutes to 35 pretty much you leave it until the few tablet is burned through.

Could you cook this, let it cool down , place it in the fridge and then take it with you while hiking, then just add a bit of water when reheating?
@Mytwocentsmedia8 ай бұрын
I would make the curry and the rice separately and just reheat the curry and then add onto the rice or you could make the curry and make the rice on the hike and just add the curry so it’ll be nice and hot either way. I have some previous video on just making the curry and just making some white fluffy rice for on the go.

You made Beef-a-Roni! Where's the veggies and sausage?
@Mytwocentsmedia8 ай бұрын
I see your point. Beef-a-Roni and American goulash are similar but not exactly the same. Both dishes typically consist of ground beef, pasta, and tomato sauce, but American goulash often includes additional ingredients like onions, bell peppers, and sometimes cheese. Yes, I only used onions and added some parmesan cheese on top. I was just cooking my way. I like to eat it. I did mention in the video. This is my version. This video was mainly demo on my Japanese Mess tin cooking kit. And was not trying to show off my cooking skills just a rough outdoor cooking my version.

Good review sir. I started out with this type of stove but switched to alcohol early on. I found the smell too much. Stinks when you use them and if you don't store them in vacuum sealed, they will stick up everything in your bag. Also, the gooey residue that was left on my pot and on the stove was a mess. I do have in my BUGOUT one and sealed fuel for the emergency purposes to use as a once-and-done.

The AceCamp stove looks like a knock off of the old British army Hexi stove. The cut out on the top would fit the base of the British army Crusader cup manufactured by BCB.

Old geezer, retired early in the Republic of the Philippine Islands checking in: We have Daiso of Japan stores at local malls. We are able to find many items such as unbleached paper cone type coffee filters that are not available in local supermarkets. Unfortunately, these are small outpost stores that do not stock the full ranges of products that are stocked in theJapanese stores. Every once in a while, and perhaps by mistake, Beautiful Bride finds a few camping type items when visiting Dasio. There may only be two or three of a single item but she purchases what she finds. We haves some great items such as our stainless steel camp mugs that rest nicely on our DIY alcohol burners as well as our Trangia burners. Beautiful Bride may accept a contract to work in Japan for one to two years later this year.We will see. If we do go there, we will be visiting the Daiso often and sending many boxes back to home base.

@Mytwocentsmedia11 ай бұрын
It is made in Sweden. But that particular model, is distributed and marketed for Japan. If you put in Japanese mess tin in the KZbin search, you will see the particular model will come up. That’s how I found it when I was watching a lot of Japanese KZbinrs use it in their solo camping and hiking watching them I decided to buy one for myself and been using it since 2019. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp-Yq2qNgKiFbsksi=soDb-uV-TQLVPPJH

Really handy way to prepare a meal. Not so much a one pot as a one stove! The veg are going to have a more intense flavour and be a lot more healthy than when boiled. Also this method will use less fuel and precious water. Excellent 👍
