Thank you for commenting. It is easy, as we all know, to become dissatisfied with features of who we are. The sinful flesh we are born with is not content. May the Lord help us see clearly that even in the face of challenge, we can be content with his good and gracious plan.

It goes against God’s word!
@hisword3602 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching the video. We are eager to communicate God's word clearly, and to do it from a heart that is authentically loving and humble and eager to serve our dear fellow human beings. We all enter this world with a sinful flesh that fights against God's truth. What a blessed miracle when the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and then raises us to spiritual life through the good news that Jesus is the Savior of the world, of us!

I think without verse 11 and the seven attributes Paul describes we cannot fully understand what godly sorrow is!
@hisword3607 ай бұрын
Thank you for drawing attention to verse 11. That verse describes some of the effects that follow godly sorry and repentance and salvation: earnestness, eagerness to clear oneself, indignation, alarm, longing, concern, and readiness to see justice done (NIV 2011). As the Lord graciously transforms our heart, we see things from a completely different perspective. God bless your day!

Yeast is allways bad in the bibel don't make it good
@hisword3602 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your comment. There are so many more places where yeast is viewed as something that needs to be gotten rid of (beginning with the Passover), so it is important to remember that. Your reminder is helpful. There are some other exceptions to that, though. For example, God commands his people to use yeast in a Thank Offering (Leviticus 7:13) and as a part of the celebration of the Feast of Weeks (Leviticus 23:17). In Matthew 13:33, as well as in Luke 13:21, then, there seems to be a very basic point of comparison, that when yeast is put into something, it infiltrates that "something" completely. God's kingdom is to have the same effect in us--to impact every aspect of our lives. Certainly let me know if any additional thoughts might be helpful -- God bless!

Can you find this mark of authenticity in all of Paul's 12 other New Testament epistles? If you can, would you leave me the chapters and verses of these autographs? I can find it in some of them, but not in all of them.
@hisword3602 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for your comment, and apologies for the delay in replying! 2 Thessalonians 3:17 does suggest that there was something distinctive about every letter that Paul wrote -- a "distinguishing mark in all of my letters." Is it possible that even when Paul used another writer to put on parchment his dictation (for example, Romans 16:22), Paul would be sure to write at least a portion with his own hand (perhaps at the end of the letter), even if he doesn't explicitly draw attention to this (as he does in 1 Corinthians 16:21, Colossians 4:18, Philemon 19, and Galatians 6:11)? 2 Thessalonians 2:2 indicates that great care was applied to ensure that letters from Paul were recognized and false letters were exposed. It is possible that the special highlighting of Paul's authorship in 2 Thessalonians 3:17 occurs in light of those false claims mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2. Absence of such highlighting elsewhere need not lead to the conclusion that Pauline authorship is less certain in those cases. We would simply recognize that Paul, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, highlighted things that needed highlighting, depending on the circumstances. God bless!

What does "not to be repented of" in 2 cor 7:10 kjv bible. Niv uses term "leaves no regret". Seems a hugh differance in meanings to me at least. Thanks
@hisword3602 жыл бұрын
Excellent question . . . right, the KJV says, "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not be repented of," and that can almost sound like we are to repent and we are NOT to repent! In the Greek, "repentance" in the KJV reflects the Greek word for "change of mind." So, godly sorrow is an important step of God's work in our hearts, a step which precedes God's working of a "change of mind" (faith in Christ/repentance) which results in salvation. This kind of sorrow (authentic sorrow over sin) is not to be repented of, i.e. it is not to be viewed as a negative thing. SIN is to be viewed as a negative. But SORROW over sin which ultimately leads to salvation is not to be viewed as a negative, i.e. it should not be repented of. Does that make sense? In the end, then, "not to be repented of" would mean the same thing, essentially, as "not to be regretted." "Not to be regretted" is essentially the same as "leaves no regret." God bless your continued careful handling of his Word!

Thank you for asking . . . all of the references in the video are from the Bible, which speaks about the triune God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father sent God the Son, Jesus, to be our substitute, suffering our deserved consequences that we might die at peace, forgiven of all our sins. God the Holy Spirit takes that precious truth and plants it in hearts, creating saving trust which brings a person peace now and joy-filled eternal life forever. If there is more that would be helpful, certainly reply!

Fear is low spiritual vibration. It is the state of no miracle frequency.
@hisword3604 жыл бұрын
There are definitely many different views on the cause of fear, as well is the solution to fear. It seems universal is that we recognize that we have fears. While many guesses can be offered as to what the source of fear is, one very helpful perspective is to recognize that fear can be valid. Said another way, we don't want to give the impression that one can "think" one's self out of fear. The fear of death, for example, is absolutely valid. It reflects the human instinct that something bad happens after death. To acknowledge that fear is, in such a case, valid is also to marvel that God did something about that fear. Our guilt and fear were taken by Jesus, who became our hero substitute. He faced and experienced the eternal consequences of each of our individual sins. For me to know that is to know that I have peace, not a self-created sense of peace, but an authentic peace that now exists between me and God. Fear can be based on something real, and substantial. Thank the Lord that peace is based on something real, and substantial!

God is bigger than the coronavirus
@lIlIlIlI-gs2qx4 жыл бұрын
If i get corona n die. Does that mean a lord Jesus want me dead??
@hisword3604 жыл бұрын
That's a really good question. Two important "big picture" things to keep in mind. First, God never wanted anyone to die. When he made the world, it was perfect. Death was a consequence of humanities disobedience of God. So, we can properly view death as an enemy. It is a bad thing. The miracle is that Jesus came to suffer our death in our place - he suffered the eternal consequences of our sin. A Christian will still die, unless the end of the world comes first. But as one knows that Jesus as their Savior, one's death day becomes the first day of a life free from sin, with our Savior forever. So, that's the first thing. Death is a consequence of sin. It is not something God ever wanted. But it is something God did something about. Second thing. As a Christian, you know that God is in charge of everything, and he works everything out for the eternal good of his children. You can know that if you get the coronavirus and you die, that is not evidence that God has lost control. We would still not say, in broad strokes, that "God wants you dead." That could give the impression that God wants people to die in a fundamental way. God never wanted anyone to die. What's amazing about God, however, is this - he can take something that has the appearance of bad and turn it into an eternal good. He does number our days. He is the one who is in control of how long I live. But should he, in his wisdom, determine that a certain moment is to be my last, I can know that it is a loving and powerful God who, in that moment, will bring me the most amazing victory. Is that helpful?

One man whose life is a big focus of the Bible had very similar thoughts . . . the Apostle Paul. He went so far as to consider Jesus the worst of enemies. What's amazing is that there is such eagerness on the part of God to reach out to those who feel that way. Sometimes what we've heard about Jesus just isn't true. Sometimes we know exactly what Jesus represents and there still is dislike. For Paul, he came to realize that he had been fighting against God when he felt as he did. His heart was changed, and suddenly everything looked different. Check out some of the other videos on the channel . . . hopefully they can help explain the history of Jesus and the gift he has won for the world.
