at 6:08 the make planar by Z axis generates an average of distances, the rule of absolute majority is not applied. this is a fantastic tutorial. congratulations. !

i have watched your videos about quixel so many times and bridge still cant connect to 3dsmax. first time i did it months ago it worked. i dont know what to do and to who should I address. dont know whats happening even if im familiar with the process.

Don't worry, especially since Bridge was already working for you! The fastest way is to start from scratch! 1. Uninstall Bridge by going to the Start menu and selecting Add or Remove Programs. 2. Reinstall Bridge, log in, install the plugin via the Plugin Manager, and also check the export settings-make sure 3ds Max is selected. 3. The final step is to correctly set the path in the MS file, and that’s it! Nothing else needs to be done, and everything will happen automatically in future launches. Bridge works as a program, but the connection to the export location can sometimes break due to updates. Once that’s fixed, everything will be fine!

@@softschool-cg I truly appreciate you taking the time to address my issue and provide a solution. It means a lot! Your previous video had successfully helped me, as I followed your instructions to the letter. However, it seems that this particular problem/solution was related to Autodesk, specifically regarding 3ds Max, and more so after the latest Windows update. The issue was finally resolved with the help of this forum: Autodesk Forum - 3ds Max Plugins Missing. Then, based on your video, the mission was accomplished. Thank you once again!

they blocked the bridge. that takes our work behind in schedule... can't cooperate with Fab yet unfortunately. amazing video by the way💯sad we cant use your instructions after last bridge's update...🥲

Hi! The video will be posted tomorrow, but in the meantime, try updating Bridge to the latest version, then go to Manage Plugins and reinstall the plugin for 3ds Max, and also make sure that 3ds Max is selected in the Export Settings. This worked for me

Quixel's switch to a new payment system has broken everything, and the developers haven't made any statements yet. We're still looking for a solution, and if anything changes, we'll release a video right away

To select a polygon by painting, select SubObj in the Preview Selection area of the Selection tab at the subobject level; in this mode, the subobject you hover over will be highlighted. If you hold down the Ctrl key in this mode, you can select the highlighted subobjects. To complete the selection, click the left mouse button without releasing the Ctrl key. To deselect using the same method, hold Ctrl+Alt and point at subobjects, to finish click the left mouse button. It’s important to keep holding the Ctrl (or Ctrl+Alt) key; otherwise, the selection will be interrupted!

I´m a 3D artist from Argentina, and I was really concerned when I downloaded the 2025 3dsMax version and the Quixel Bridge was not working. I searched in KZbin forums and many different KZbin videos; any of them were working. This video explains perfectly what to do in case Quixel is not working for 3DS Max 2024/25 versions. Really, thank you very much!

25 max has updated interface and scripts, the developers haven't released the updated script yet. But I found this workaround: 1.Download the MSLiveLink file from Github: github.com/cyberhirsch/Megascans-3dsmax/blob/main/MS_API.py 2. Replace the file here C:\Users\_______\Documents\Megascans Library\support\plugins\max\5.5\MSLiveLink 3. Open the script, Evaluete All. 4. Restart 3ds max. No menu, but export works

Make sure the paths to the folder where you installed Bridge are correct. Also check the direction of the slashes, they must be to the right / this is very important
