How many days did u sit there? Its winter. Everyday looks that way here in canada.. Recently bought a newer pickup truck and im wondering what the point of traction control is considering i have to turn it off most days because it cuts all power then im like a snail and cannot move

Dude, since I moved here 6 months ago, I have *so* wanted to visit Chicago but I don’t want to drive their streets in my Subaru….. don’t know how you can do it in a big rig!! Good job! 👍🏻

A lot of scanning and taking my time. My placement driver was on edge as we went under the bridge at the start of the video. He thought we wouldn’t make it. So lesson there: Reading the signs, reading again. Proceeding slowly to account for any bumps we might pass over….we had room to spare but it’s all about taking it slow. That and I grew up driving on I-4 in Florida…I laugh at the idea of driving in other cities now. (If you want a real brain twister, go watch the G. Washington Bridge video!)

I'm from Dayton, Ohio, and so is my dad. He bought a brand new 56 Ford and Dayton for $4500. It had A332V8 in. It was a 5 speed, 2 speed rear. I wasn't around. I wasn't born till 68 but. He said he run it out to Seattle. A few times took him 8 days to get out there. He was a true truck driver

I’ll take driving through a small town area like this over any big city any day of the week. I’ve been through Carlisle plenty of times since July but I wanted to get it during the winter for this reason, just adds a little more to any already awesome area.

Very good video but in this video have lot of snow there so what you think that driving is hard or soft in snow?
@FulcrumFreighter11 ай бұрын
Everything here was no more than 2-4 inches so with all the salt treatments it wasn’t difficult. Just taking it slow and careful is always the best option. When in doubt, find a safe haven and call it a day.

Just got my CDL, how long is the passenger allowed to sit in the passenger seat?
@FulcrumFreighter Жыл бұрын
If you mean in regards to “Sleeper berth” time, since it’s 10 hrs on that setting, you could really be in the seat for about 2 hrs, with AT LEAST 8 being in the sleeper berth/bed. Some people will do the 2 hrs on Off Duty, then change to Sleeper. Just remember you have to have 10 hrs total in off/sleeper before the clock resets. Look up the info here if you’d like www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/hours-service/summary-hours-service-regulations#:~:text=Drivers%20using%20a%20sleeper%20berth,is%20less%20than%202%20hours.

@UnchartedAdventuresVideo awesome, thanks for the Information, do you like the team driving format, is it tough to sleep while truck is moving?
@FulcrumFreighter Жыл бұрын
You’ll figure out what works for you eventually. Always a good idea to use the net/straps, extra protection in case there’s an unscheduled break check (or a pot hole larger than the planet..lookin at you I-10). Try doing some light stretches to wear yourself out a little more. I have the AirPods Pro 2 with the noise cancellation, and it really works. Throw on some ocean waves, or whatever you think would work for you, and you’ll be fine.
@FulcrumFreighter Жыл бұрын
In regards to team driving, yeah, it’s good. Michael and I were in school together so it worked out well that we knew each other going in to this (verses playing the “trucker dating game” trying to find a good partner. I know people who have had nightmare partners. But overall right now, teaming is the way to go. Truck is “always moving” (except for resets) so means more mileage. Which means more money. There was one week we did just over 5.5k miles in a 7 day period. Is it for everyone? No. But my advice is you won’t know until you try. Don’t like it? Don’t do it. Make this career what you want it to be. It’s going to be stressful enough, control everything you can. And remember, as long as the cars are below you, you’re doing it right.

Okay. Disneyland focus faaar too much on the dancing and limited the kids in their celebration. they had to congo with a ROPE! MK's is better because it's simple, doesnt overload the guests and everyone can dance in fact they drag people into the street. I saw a cast member once get yelled at by a manager because 'you're not dancing enough!'
