I've recently been seen by an immunologist who did a lot of labs and believes I have a Mast Cell disorder, possibly MCAS or systemic mastocytosis. I am having allergic reactions to pretty much everything. The end result of those reactions, regardless of where the problem occurs, always seem to react on my scalp which ends up in hair loss. I believe that this inflammation over time has caused a scarring alopecia. A year ago I lost the top part of my hair at a hair salon thanks to an allergic reaction so everyone only sees female pattern hair loss instead of the rapid and irregular looking way I am losing hair. I already have allergic contact dermatitis, seb derm, an overgrowth of demodex. I switched to SEEN Fragrance Free products a year ago but it hasn't really stabilized me much. Is there crossover between LPP, FFA, etc. and mast cell disorders?
