This piano has great tone but doesn't have the sustain that is characteristic of most modern Steinways. Even though he is playing with little to no sustain pedal, his chording and melody notes are dampening as soon as he releases each key. Keith plays the same way, with no pedal, but holds the notes down longer to create sustain. 'Difficult to do and counter intuitive for a percussion instrument but doing this draws out wonderful piano tone.

Drummer shone at the end-his use of volume and dynamics-really caught my attention. One super-band, all around.
