I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts about making music. I really relate to the album as an active listening experience, especially in an era where that is more rare, and also the visual aspect. When I am composting music I am often literally scoring a movie in my head - and I'm not even interested in score work. It's more about scenes from my life or imagination that put me in an emotional, creative place. I don't know if it makes a difference in the music itself but there is at the very least a placebo effect for me, lol. Man, and this video definitely got me hyped about the new record. Seeing the process was really cool. Love the use of tape. Can't wait to hear it!

Thanks for the kind words! This is a bit retrospective though, it’s from the True Surrender LP I released last year. But plenty of new music on the way!

Awesome album, so great to get a little behind the scenes. Doesn't that back wall in your home studio being so close give you issues when working on the low end?
@SnakesofRussia27 күн бұрын
Yes, it's far from ideal but we gotta work with what we have :) It's a small room overall, so there is a pretty big low end buildup anyway, but with some room treatment, room correction, and being in here and used to the room for 5 years now I can get stuff to translate pretty well outside of here.

@SnakesofRussia2 ай бұрын
If you are into Modular Synths there is a free platform called VCV Rack. Maybe start there and see what you like before you dive in. In addition I would look at some semi modular stuff like the Moog Mother 32 or Make Noise 0 Coast
