I really wanted to follow the two British soldiers throughout their adventures, but It was cut short by crappy cutscenes and long winded narration about other people I couldn't really give two shits about. So for me it was less about "authenticity" and more about playing a game with a cohesive scenario. Couldn't care less about history in my video games, and more about if I'm having a good time with it without worrying if my neighbor will be offended by an imagined slap in the face.

after watching this it made me realize i dont think ive ever watched a single cut scene in any of the halo games. seriously the game was so good i didnt even care about the story. i did read fall of reach as a young lad and that got me hyped on the expanded lore but alas i never really cared for the story. what an amazing video my good boy~!

Okay so; all humans are forerunner. All humans are Reclaimers. Thats why johnson was able to activate the systems in halo 3 and why miranda was able to access them as well and cancel the halo starting up in halo 2. Bungie even said that the true lore is that all humans are forerunner. None of if the 343 games are cannon. Sorry but humans werent a separate race from the forerunner, they are descendants of them.

Why did humans not die when the halo was fired?

I suppose it makes sense from a perspective of reaching as wide an audience as possible, but I'm disappointed that you spent so much time focusing on the content of the games, dedicating quite a lot time to even individual levels within games despite the events of those levels lasting only minutes themselves, and being rather inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. And at the same time, there's almost no mention of the entire rest of the 30 year long human-covenant war. Despite a brief mention about retaking harvest, there's no mention of the vast majority of the war being defined by intense naval action, no mention of Admiral Cole, no mention of Keyes' exploits in the Navy, only the briefest mention of the insurrection. Even the Chief's story is completely omitted when it isn't something directly pulled from a game. No mention of how desperate the war was by the 2550's, and of ONI's hail Mary plan to use the Spartan IIs to kidnap Covenant leadership and negotiate an end to the war. I would consider that essential to the overarching lore of Halo, since that mission is really what kicked off the first game. And the way Chief continued that mission immediately following the events of the game is pretty essential to the way things played out from there. Not really much mention of the Spartan IIIs either, other than that they exist, even though that whole story line is pretty consequential to the overarching halo story line as well, and probably what kicked off the heavy focus on forerunners in post-Bungie lore. This last one is probably passive-aggressive towards Bungie for me to mention, but I noticed there was also mention of how Cortana was introduced to Chief on Reach before boarding the Autumn, and how the Autumn turned around after leaving the system to warn everyone at Reach the Covenant were attacking, and how the Spartan IIs all mostly ended up dying defending Reach. Because oh wait, the very first ever piece of Halo lore, published even before the release Halo 1, got directly contradicted by the game Reach. But, I did enjoy that you included a recap of ancient events surrounding the forerunners. As much as I dislike the heavy focus on that in the later games, I did really enjoy how they explored all that in the books as a means of setting up for that.

Halo was truly the game that changed it all. It changed the face of first person shooters for good. I love the lore behind halo, and I wish that they would make a TV show that actually follows the lore accurately, not the abomination that was put out and said to be an alternate timeline.

The crew confirm that it is not covenant forces (evidenced by infested elites and brutes) and recover the Elephants. When all of the squads are located, one says "One of them bit me and ran off. Is that bad? Something's wrong... I feel funny..." before succumbing to the infection. Based on all of the information reported, Serina - the crazy hot blue AI for the Spirit of Fire - develops a file for the infection forms. While on the planet, the crew find a fully developed Gravemind called the Proto Gravemind. They destroy it and are redirected to the real signal, now on track to find Anders. After she teleports, it might be her first time seeing The Flood, but not humanity's first time. At the very least, not the Spirit of Fire's first time.

its a shame this game came out at the beginning of the lgbt fad. it had a lot of potential for about two months after release. if the devs only would have put as much effort into the gameplay as they did micro-transactions and queer lore, the game would probly not be dying. EA killed titanfall and apex and its a shame yall still support them.

1:46 ok but last I checked men don’t care what the character looks like as long as they perform correctly. Usually when I play a game I’ll have something that’ll help me. For example if I’m playing BFV I’ll chose the camo that fits the scene. Since it’s already pretty easy to blend in with surroundings, it makes the gameplay mechanics more unique. Male or female, idc. Hell I’ll purposely make my character look like some shit eating goblin to scare people in banzai charges

It’s super unfortunate that halo 5 and infinite the real story line happened in the background wile you play through B plot. Kill off the big bad in mission one of halo 5 find out Cortana is the new big bad game ends. Start of infinite Cortana is already gone…..😒what’s the point of setting up these major plot point only for the players to never experience them because they happen between games or end before they can gain any significance.
