Fantastic video buddy, it’s nice seeing you putting out a new video. Great advice, getting out is the best thing you can do, just being out communing with nature. 👍

Getting out is good. Bringing a camera even better. I like the day kit backpack idea with just a camera and lens. Nice photos.

Thanks Mac. It really makes it simple to hit the local trails and not worry about all the weight and gear. Not to mention challenging yourself carrying 1 lens.

Nice! I've been fascinated with the whole ecological dynamics thing which lead me to ecological psychology. Still lots to learn but it's been a journey thus far. More to come...

A great reminder with a solid call to action akin to Nike.........Just Do It! So many times I catch myself talking myself out of going out. Common excuses are "the conditions aren't right", "it's too cold", "the forecast is too uncertain", etc, etc. Like anything, just start and adjust as necessary! Great video, Mark!

Yeap, very true. I find once you actually get out, everything else falls into place. As you said: Just Do it!

Can I ask your recommendation for a monitor? Thank you!!!
@MarkHoudePhotography24 күн бұрын
The LG Monitors I have are no longer available. They do have newer models but I haven’t researched them but their high end models come with a factory calibration. Another option would be BenQ monitors, they are known for spot-on color calibration and quality builds and still cheaper than an Apple monitor.

What’s different between 1.33 vs 1.55 and which one is your recommendation for landscape photography?
@MarkHoudePhotographyАй бұрын
The two ratios are similar, the 1:55 being a bit more extreme. Depending on your vision and subjects, you’ll have to decide what fits your needs. Both are unusual for Landscape Photography but do have a place when creating panos, the 1:33 being more common. Here’s a good article to learn more. www.shopmoment.com/reviews/1-33x-vs-1-55x-anamorphic-ratios-specs-focal-lengths-effects

Would you be willing to share your poem in the comments so I can add it to my scrapbook? Of course I'll credit your name. We did the walk in January of this year and had the park, what felt, to ourselves.

Hello Anna, I spoke with Mark Camp and he gave his blessing to use the poem in your scrapbook so long as to not profit from it. Thank you for asking. You can note the words overlayed while the poem is being spoken.

Those are turkey tail mushrooms :) Thanks for the editing tips! I've been wanting to get into focus stacking with my iPhone but wasn't totally sure how to go about it. I did come across an app called CameraPixels, which can automate the focus bracketing part for you. Have you heard of it?

Thank you!!! This looks like a great system but I shoot in very harsh conditions and want the UV/Protector to live on my lens. A lens protector/magnetic adaptor 'all in one' would be perfect for me. Its too bad they to not make one of these. Also, the all in one uv/adaptor would take less space and I would have less vignetting.
@MarkHoudePhotography2 ай бұрын
I imagine it's challenging to engineer and design products that fit everyone's needs. While this is a great system, it looks as though it won't meet yours. I'd keep an eye out in the event they decide to make a UV/adaptor one piece.

Thank you so much for this. I've got a huge Apple Photos library on my older 2017 iMac (1.7 TB), and it is struggling on that. I can barely open / edit photos. I'm starting to think I need to upgrade to the Studio Max as I also do photo and video editing. I think from what I've seen, the Studio Max should handle this library? 😅

what is the difference between raw?
@MarkHoudePhotography4 ай бұрын
Raw is an uncompressed file format which obtains all the data (light) captured from a photograph. Unlike compressed images, i.e. JPG, HEIC, which throw away much of the data captured to keep file size down, RAW gives the user an expanse of control when editing their images. This however comes at the expense of much larger file sizes.

One segment of this video that stood out is the anticipation of getting shot - waiting for the cars to come by to get the light trails, the patience required for "the shot".
