Thanks for sharing. The end of season wrap up is always a lot more work than people think. I do find that it is a bit of fun to compensate for the end of the on the water part of the season. It's fun because even though the boat is out of the water, you're still able to get on the boat. Best regards. Keep posting.

That's called a helicoil, someone has ruined the threads and tried to fix it and when you overtighten helicoil it strips it out. I had this on my fuel strainer, same thing had to replace the part. You can add more helicoil but you will have the same problem.

Wood is rotting. Can see it in top drilled holes. No butyl tape no sealant to protect the holes from rotting in the with the new screws. I bet this didn’t last very long. And the pulling forces are on the screws going into the wood.
