Live in Graham for 15 years, absolutely no crime, meridian can be a bitch but nothing compared to I 5 or 167. We're lying if you move here traffic will get worse. Go to Tacoma and Renton. 😊

Tacoma in general is not safe a lot of crime drugs homeless people.rent high.wapoto area bad. East side bad.spanaway keeps getting more people that r pushed out of these areas

I don't know about your first 5 but the top 5 is definitely correct ... your first 5 has a L-O-N-G WAY to go to be somewhat near the top 5. Yes it's developing, but I wouldn't go as far as ideal for family ... maybe young professionals, but not to raise a family.

The city of tacoma is following the highly effective homeless program in LA. Dozens of city officials make six digit salaries all the while creating policies insuring that the homeless problem only gets worse. Job security at it's finest. All you have to do is declare yourself homeless and suddenly no laws apply to your behavior anymore. You can do whatever you want if you are homeless in Tacoma. When the police show up just tell them you are homeless and they will shake your hand for being a brave homeless person and leave.

Great video!! Such a shame that such beautiful areas by nature has to have such crime. I lived in Texas all my life who has grown sick of it here. The constant mixture of humidity with scorching 100 degree weather. Politics, southern hospitality.. I always wished to move up there! Especially when it comes too affordability, I always looked in between the lines of Tacoma, Everett, and Bellingham.

Missed the Sounders (soccer) with sports ... the underground city ... Boeing's museum of flight is super ... woodland park zoo is pretty good - especially if you are visiting with kids. Seattle hydroplane races is super unique but you obviously have to come for that weekend.

Stopped using transit, too much crack and meth smokers, bus drivers and cops do nothing, literally nothing. Now cops will kick ### and take names if you turn right on a red light - that's illegal now. Bumper to bumper traffic, excluding 11pm to 5:30 am, it so bad like in Bellevue/Redmond, you don't drive to the grocery store after you get home from work until at least 8pm else you're stuck in traffic, not moving. Seattle area traffic can take you an hour to drive 3 miles. Tacoma is a very scary dangerous poor place, if you don't mind, then move there. Traffic so bad, 1 person pulled over by a cop - 8 mile backup 10mph, you're delayed an hour in all directions, let it be I5, I90, 405, 520, etc.Alki has a lot of violence. If you don't mind throwing down and popping off a few rounds, Alki is for you and your family. Used to live in North Bend before it was developed - now it's just an extension of Seattle metro. Bellevue is not Seattle - cops crack skulls, same with Kirkland, except Bellevue is 50% asians - a lot of asians, mass asian, little Saigon? Little China? Little North Vietnam? North Korea? The map you're drawing on looks easy peasy to drive to and from - but anyone who lives here know that map is a lie - things are far, and commute to and from is hours long. Just random example: Redmond (outskirts of Seattle metro) - go down Avondale, go ahead I dare you - 3 miles 1 hour every morning and evening... . PS Federal Way crime is like that of all the other cities south of Seattle, and Seattle itself has a lot of crime because cops have been hamstrung on enforcement by city council and mayor, so cops can only pull you over if you're an active shooter throwing a drive by, but then again, they have "do not pursuit" rules, so cops can only call 911 and report a crime.

make sure to take vitamin D during the winter. Watch your back, Tacoma has become extremely dangerous. The property crime is terrible and a shocking amount of people are on Meth. I have lived here for 30 years now and it has gone down hill fast. Do not drive anywhere, your car will be vandalized by the homeless for shits and giggles.

I lived in south hill for a year, meridian is going to get much worse as more homes are being built, theres tons of land the more south you go. Its almost impossible to add a lane each direction on meridian.

It is bad now due to the section 8 housing and crime has risen exponentially . Diversity is NOT a good thing when it comes to crime. People from Seattle and King county have ruined it with their liberal politics and brought the same garbage they were running from in Seattle to Puyallup.

Diversity in itself being relative to crime isn't a figure I'd lean on personally but we all see things differently I'm not a fan of liberal politics in my own right but unfortunately I don't see that changing anytime soon. Unless we get lucky with Inslee retiring after this term

I don't see people of wanting to move to other ethnic groups neighborhoods...they either prefer to be with their own or want to move to white neighborhoods. OF course there are exceptions ,but it's rare. I don't care what my neighbors look like personally, as long as they are responsible, respectful, raise their kids and pets to be the same, and not criminals/thieves/druggies/. I"ve lived everywhere from overseas in post civil war country to north idaho to small midwest town to Rainer valley in seattle and i definitely felt the least safe in rainer valley, and that was in the 80's.

The VA's pretty good I personally use American Lake VA located in Lakewood. If you're going to be in Pierce County that'll be your main option since Seattle VA is a little ways away. Reach out when you're free!

Lived in Graham for 33 years on property I bought in 1980. Left 6 months ago. Ken Crotts got it sold for us. If you think traffic is bad now, just wait for the new developments, particularly the one at the end of 200th to go in. And the inevitable foolishness of development past 224th. But ultimately, it was the skyrocketing property tax assessments that drove us out. Here's that same trip down Meridian/161 in 1982.
