I grew up with the Saw series, through blockbuster and making random family members take me to the theater cause it was rated r and I couldn't drive 😂. My immediate reaction to the title of the video was "do not quote the ancient text to me, I was there when it was written". Y'all did a great job, I wish I had friends to do movie marathons like this with

2 hours in now. I rewatched the whole franchise earlier this month because I am weird. The absolute inversion of quality between 6 and 7 is actually insane to me. Like I came out of 6 like 'Oh yeah no, that was a great movie I really liked it' and I came out of 7 like 'Wow that movie... really hates women." Maybe the last one is me being more sensitive to sexism now than I was in 2010 due to transitioning, but it reaaaaaaaaaally really ruined what might have been an a fun bad movie for me.

I'm 47 minutes in and I have loved the talk on saw 1 but I have to stop watching now because I simply cannot take the hate for saw 2. To say you don't like it is one thing, but to say it's BAD is another. it is a fully valid opinion to have and I'm definitely the strange one here but the moment you said it was bad I got so upset that I started getting dizzy which is definitely related to me having low iron but we aren't talking about that right now. Saw 2 is incredible, it's arguably the best one in the series and I am the one who will argue that. It perfected the concepts that saw 1 introduced. and i respect your opinion but I am deeply deeply deranged and the saw movies are some of my favorite movies of all time not the later ones but like. you know. you get it. even when theyre weird and camp ok theyre everything to me. and im writing a paragraph long youtube comment defending saw 2 okay I'm not mentally well. also I just realized I can skip to where yall talk about saw 3. so I am going to do that. but I'm not deleting all this even though it's very unnecessary so. fuck. I respect you I respect your opinion and thoughts and i think youre very funny and talking about the biblical references in saw 1 is so real. but girlies we are skipping to the section on 3 because if i hear people talk poorly of saw 2 I get so upset that my vision starts graying out. i hope youre well

Billy has, and will always be the most terrifying thing in the Saw movies for me. Like yeah, the serial killer concept and the traps will get me nervous for a day because horror movies do that to my anxiety ridden brain. But the puppet looks and is terrifying for me. (Likely Billy’s face make-up doing wonders on the creep factor. Add in glowing eyes and how some thumbnails also do not help said fear of him that I have.)

I really enjoyed this video, but also do you think they couldn't have made a giant blender twenty years ago? Like, forget 2003, they could've probably built a spinning thing that blends a dude up in 1903, it's not like we only just figured out how to make industrial machinery in the last decade or something. Not even a criticism, just confused and amused honestly.

There's a good series called Foot The Bill that's been costing all the traps in the Saw movies, and their explanation for Jigsaw kinda makes sense - i.e. that John Kramer spent *wayyyy* too much money on that first trap, and had to start dialling it back after that, so that's why the next few traps are just, like, Guy In Room.

@@FTZPLTC LOL something something horseshoe theory??? Hoffman and Strahm are such total bland MAN characters and i think thats what makes them come out the other end lol. one of the greatest joys of getting into Saw for me is the particular campiness of the fandom. soooo excellent right up my alley

Ive had a soft-spot for SAW for as long as I can remember and I blame it all on my parents allowing little 12 year old me to watch SAW 3D with them. SAW 3D was my first SAW movie and I really decided on that movie that Yes, I did in fact want to watch and hyperfixate on these movies. Anyways, I'm 25 now. I have 2 copies of every SAW movie up until SAW 3D (because different commentary tracks) and I watch all 10 movies at least once a year all the way through. I've also planned out a HoffmanxStrahm fanfic, in which the planning alone is 42 pages long. I am in DEEP and honestly the SAW fandom has been one of my personal favorites. All of this rambling to say: I really enjoyed this video!

I've been thinking about making a video about all the Saw movies for awhile now, and heres this video with eerily similar opinions to mine lmao. Thouroughly enjoyed this video and watched it all in about a day. I'm probably not as huge on the first movie, I love 7 because it is one of the worst/ most entertaining movies I have ever seen, "I love Hoffman, he sucks!" - me, and Spiral is also one of the worst movies I have ever seen but it's boring and just kinda shits on the legacy of the series.
