04/08/2024 Paris 4x100 medley relay men's final Pan Zhanle split: 45.92 Lezak's record lasted 16 years, which is such an unbelievable period, but record are made for been broken. Even if pan swam a 45 today this last split will remain in our memories forever, thank you Jason

Is there such thing as drafting in swimming? Lezak was hugging the line between him and Bernard the whole and swam an unbelievable time. Either way, whatever he did for whatever reason, it was brilliant.
@bds91512 күн бұрын
I think I remember hearing an interview clip from Lezak at the time where he explicitly said that was his exact strategy. Hug the lane line and draft off the wave.

I was visiting my family in Honduras and this just happened to be on. My parents don’t care at all about sports, but we all were in the room for this. As Lezak closed down my parents and I started screaming and when we won… absolute mayhem. One of my most treasured moments with my parents

Can someone be cool and explain to me what a split is?
@bds91512 күн бұрын
Each swimmer swims 100 meters, so the split is just the amount of time each individual swimmer takes to swim their personal 100 meters.
