Why do Americans change every units? So there a 0 scale is 1:48, which should mean that Amerigan Half 0 (H0) should be 1: 96?

Great video. Just be aware that ä is not an a, it's a German letter in its own right. So the name should be pronounced 'Mehrklin', not 'mahrklin'.

Every thing I agree with except the finger prints, I don't have many black locomotives plus I do HO scale I I don't have to worry as much, But still, if there's finger prints, That's just a way to show the locomotives getting ran.

You won't see others model trains manufacturers because of tariffs....perhaps the US should put tariffs on Marklin products....TO BE FAIR.

People should watch the video where the ladies are avoiding drawing suspicion from the election watcher, plotting with their boss to stay late and get paid extra for it, and how many more votes they need to get.

Was always fascinated with Z Guage, as .ost people are to some degree. I had a good sized N Guage set in the 1970s, that I acquired the bulk of, and added to over time. I appreciated being able to do my entire layout on a sheet of 4x8 3/4 inch plywood. This brings back many fine memories of my adolescent and early teen years.

I once worked at a publishing company and received a phone call to book an advertisement. The person who called was Mr. Märklin. I almost thought it was fake but it wasn’t. It was in the mid 1980s.

As a child, my mother bought a hobby’s store that was going out of business in 1976 small supply of Marklin s train stuff. 8907s, 8803, 8817, 8816, 8620, 8621, 8726, 8600, 8602, 8711, 8712and a lot of track. 0:02 My parents were getting divorced and my mom was hoping it would give something for my fatherbto do with me as a dad should. He instead just left us and wanted nothing to do with me or my siblings as he remarried and seemed interested in her kids a lot more than he ever did. Sadly, when my dad walked away my mom put them up because it hurt her to see me play with them by myself and saw me fail to be able to build all sets properly my myself. I had forgotten about them till her death and found it all locked in a cabinet.

oh so if the gauge doesn't match the scale then the train will never look exactly like the real thing? like having a person with too big or too small feet?

You should try T Gauge or 1:450 scale, it's over half the size of Z Gauge. So incredibly tiny.

I don't understand why they just didn't name the different sizes after the second number in the scale... 1:32... so call it 32 scale. H0 would be 87. N would be 160. Like with English SAE system, they messed up from the start... using a ruler system that worked okay for wood working, but starts to fall apart when you get smaller and smaller.

Great Video. Can’t wait to see it, take our Grandson & make my own video. I hope this season’s is as large as the one you captured here. We live in Reading area now but used to live in Kennett Square and visited the museum and road the local tourist train out of North Wilmington, back in the early 90’s

I had a friend in Dallas who built z trains into coffee tables two or three track a small mountain tunnels a couple of small towns and a farm or two this was back in the early to mid 80s he would build 3 or 4 a year never the same layout and got thousands of dollars for them just by word of mouth they were covered in a thick sheet of glass Beautiful things I would watch him build those things and help hold the trees down while they were being glued because I had small fingers He always paid me for the things I did get really good wages plus all the beer I could drink.I think his saying was I am the shortest 6 foot man here He stood at 4'4" Linny I hope you are still above ground . and still rolling on
