Obviously most people don't know where IT alliance name came from and why there is clown. They named themselves after IT, Stephen King TV horror show. And it is not is pronounced as IT(abbreviation of information technologies). My guess they wanted rest of EVE perceive them as something scary and nameless like clown from TV show.

I flew with brave for a bit in my 12 year career. Outside of fleet fights, I lost one ship. ONE. My time in Hi-Sec......I've lost count. And the fleet fights.........sorry, but i got better things to do than sit with my head in my hand staring at the screen with my finger on the F1 key, and only press it when some dude called an FC tells me to, and only after clicking on what they tell me to click on. Lo-Sec has me having a really good time. No blobs, just me and a couple friends fleeting up and doing stuff. I kinda wish the risk/reward was more where it should be in low though. Right now, it's terribly difficult to really make any progress.

@@TalkingInStationsa classic is his advocation for golden ammo purchable from the ccp store as one of his platforms from his csm candidacy run. But there are honestly hundreds of events if you go back to the shows he hosted, his guests would routinely correct him. For someone who spent soooo much time and energy researching and writing, getting basic facts wrong and coming to the wrong conclusions is frequent. @31:00 in this very video, saying just how safe 0.0 is when dunk who actually did space work disagrees with all of that. And yeah bro he spends 10 mins arguing with an actual expert. I stopped there, matterall can stay off these.

I agree with a lot of what everyone is saying in this episode. I am a relatively newer player but it does seem like the null alliances are bigger than the four empire factions. A thought struck me while listening to this episode that it would be amazing if the empires and high sec “safe space” took the fight to the null alliances. I think it would be interesting content if faction warfare changed to acknowledge the player alliances and decided to take the fight to them on their home turf.

First of all wow, what an interesting video, I used to be a confirmed watched of all TIS content and it has been great to see something watchable again. Secondly, I wanted to express my gratitude also to David and Michael for their candour and for sharing their experiences in EVE as well as their personal philosophies on leadership and being part of a group. I came back to eve in 2024 after a 9 year break and the reason I "won" temporarily is exactly what our speakers talked about - even though I loved it, at a critical juncture I realised that EVE was taking up too much of my life and taking me away from the most important relationships you will ever have and that is family. I am at a stage now where I feel that I am able to better balance life and game play so I came back around the start of the pandemic to see what had changed. Looking at how things have changed since 2011 and again since 2020 I am in awe of the commitment that it takes to lead a corporation of a few people, let alone an alliance of thousands - you are both remarkable people. In particular - @MichaelPusateri you were the exemplar of what I would want an alliance leader to be, dependable, conscientious, dignified and fair. I never had the chance to fly with Brave but if their culture today still reflects the tenets you talked about then well done and I think they would be an awesome group to be a part of. Even though its not my current corp's motto, the idea of staying classy is something we should all aspire to. That's it - just wanted to say thank you and to let you know that you were both amazing and inspiring in what you did for the game and those of us who continue to play.

28:36 <give or take> ... imo, jump-range / time / jump-clone would need to be nerfed badly in order to break up the coalitions. Make it hard to defend huge territories. @@TalkingInStationsShorten Jump ranges, Increase time on Jump-Fatigue, and add something along the lines of 'Jump-Fatigue' to clone jumping (depending on how far off clone is) so that you can't just jump from one end of the galaxy to the other end every other day (thou this could be defeated by alts but something better than having you and your alts jumping from end to end)

The majority of players want to rat and mine in peace, whether in highsec, highclass or nullsec. CCP keeps plenty of space for them to do that. And thats good, it keeps the big power blocks in one place. But the best gameplay is in the margins; lowsec, lowclass, Pochven, Thera etc. Setting personal goals and experiencing New Eden from within the game, learn the lore as you go and write your own stories. Blackout was an attempt to get people to take that first step into those less traveled places, I bet a few people did, and in that way maybe it was successful.

was it dunk that ccp named the faction salvage drones after? in case it was, i have 4 sets of those...scattered across eve now. lol...good stuff! and like in the movie "war games" the only way to win, is not to play...so there's that lol i think blackout was a bad idea executed poorly a best. that said, if the mining/manufacturing/mineral aquisition didn't torpedo the game. nothing will. as for me i used to be in the top 2% of manufacturers in eve. since all the changes, i haven't touched my rorq, orca or mining fleet (2 accounts) and i am riding my assets down to 0. in a few years, i'll be the one winning eve lol finally, once i get out, the only thing that would make me want to come back is the final showdown with goons. with the possibility of larger scale fights (in excess of 20,000 players on grid) so we can actually have it out. since thats not likely to happen, then nothing would stop me from winning eve as it were. i end with a question. is there a way to tell how many of the 34,000 players are alfalfa players and how many are subbed?

Dunk campaigned for Salvage Drones II, and CCP gave them to him, basically. It was kind of funny because you could kill an appoint, and salvage their ship with drones called Dunk. I think CCP resisted Salvage drones II because they wanted to keep the RIGS market profitable. Once the Industry changes came in and everything needed more materials, CCP gave into faster harvesting or wreckage.
