A lot of times if you see a car like that it is a temporary storage spot that the city wreckers parked after an overnight accident on Lake Shore Drive and will be moved within 48 hours. I've lived in the area for over 40 years and see them from time to time. The city will tow and impound the car if it is not moved by the owner.

That makes so much sense! I sincerely couldn't think of why it would be there, perfectly centered in the spot. Thank you!

Are their any bike clubs or groups you ride with sometimes? 🚲🚲
@AccessiblyUrban8 күн бұрын
Streets Calling is a bike club that does Thursday night rides that I try to ride with. Critical Mass is another ride that happens the last Friday of every months. I've only done that a few times though.

Wondering what time of day this is…. Seems like a peaceful enough ride. Had to watch it double speed. Did hear the yelling man! He evidently needs some help. Gotta be a fellow like him in every city, sadly. Had noticed same thing on my rides far from Chicago from time to time. One of the world’s great cities! Thanks for taking us along with you! Could you let us know a little about the bike you are riding and your gear? Always kinda surprised to see so few people around…

Thanks for watching! This was around 7am! My bike is a Golden Cycles Vader fixed gear bike, and I record with a gopro mounted to my handlebars!

Need dedicated bike lanes all around Chicago. Separated by some barrier. People would ride more. Wouldn't be against an elevated bike lanes throughout Chicago
@AccessiblyUrban2 ай бұрын
Couldn't agree more! think the city is slowly realizing that and taking steps in the right direction, but it's moving at a glacial pace considering how easy cycling infrastructure is to build.

@@AccessiblyUrban Heck yeah. I used to bike Chicago for a few years, but now I'm sort of out in the south burbs. I just started my channel a few weeks ago and hope to capture some rides back in the city soon.

Do you plan your routes or just wing it?
@AccessiblyUrban2 ай бұрын
It depends. I have a few standard routes that I used when I need to control the time of the ride, but sometimes I follow them exactly, sometimes I vamp on them, and some times I full-tilt wing it based on where I want to go that day.
