@ too funny mate! it was the guest room… I have no friends so no guests either… Nah, just a repurposing of rooms in the house, now the guests don’t have to share with the trains any longer AND now have a place nearby for their undies etc. Win win for all. 😁

I trim the sections of freight trains to keep it more interesting for many viewers that don’t want to watch the lengthy freight trains. But… I have another channel, Freight Trains Uncut, where you can see the freight trains in full length. The Herzog train is on there too. 👍🏻

Thanks Olivier. The cars you are asking about are Amtrak auto racks made by Kato. I took the track down again, everything. I now have the whole room to use so I am upgrading to a bigger U shaped table. Planning two levels with two huge reverse loops and again NO scenery just playing fun. @@RailfanRene Thanks René! Looked those up they are very rare, few listings for $ 300 for the 4 cars! But there are CP and CN rail versions that look just as nice, also Kato for less than $100 for the 4. They are identical except for the markings. Looking forward to see the next edition! @ the CP and CN autoracks are the latest released by Kato so they are still available everywhere. Depending on your geographical area you might try google and still find some Amtrak autoracks for the normal price. I Googled the Amtrak autoracks and still found some for the normal price. I’m not sure yet how to do my new track, one helix might be an option, still playing with some ideas.

Thanks for the message. I use RailModeller Pro, it's not free but it's the only one I could find that runs on Apple. It does have all the Kato N scale track pieces on there. I am changing the track again, I now have the whole room so it will be a little larger and U shaped. Stay tuned for updates.

@@gulflines1960 you have good point. But, there will be no scenery on this track. It will be a play track only. And, I’ve just got the news I can have the whole room so the track will be expanded. Love your layout. It’s all about function but it can always be changed if you feel like adding scenery. With all those nice engines, I’d go more for operation as well.

Great! Lots of track, if you just want to watch trains, but not much room for any scenery or real purpose.

@@TSmith-ns45 correct. No scenery needed. It’s designed for a purpose, to make long trains and run them, break em apart, built a new one and run that etc. There will be a second level in the future with a massive reverse loop but let’s see if I can finish the first level first, it has 2 large reverse loops so I should be able to run 2 decent sized trains at the same time. @@Emilio-fb4em mostly up to 2 in the morning on the way out and they come back in the afternoon early evening. There are occasionally some extra trains but not sure on what schedule they are. It’s not a very busy movement area for sure.

Yeah it sure is nice to see the differences. Most freight trains are now full electric so way more quiet than in the US. Less impressive but better for the surroundings I guess. Also there is no horns being blown. Thanks for the comment.
