This is absolutely fantastic! It was 11 days later that I saw them play live for the first time - and at the age of 16, it changed my life!!! This brings back so many memories 😍

9th June 1990. I know this because it was the first Saturday I'd worked as a Pontin's Bluecoat and this was on just before they moved me out of a family chalet into staff digs. Terrible time. This was my introduction to the band (they played ISTANBUL later in the show) and I was bowled over by them. Seems so obvious now John L was miming. 34 years later I finally see them live in London.

I’ve seen them twice both with my sister. She made me listen to this song and fell in love their weirdness. I thought Pencil Rain was weird then I heard Flood and they brought a whole new sense of weird with that one. Purple Toupee is now one of my favorite songs on Lincoln.

this was on Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 the afternoon of the RFH concerts - possibly done before they went on to do the kids show in the afternoon and then full show in the evening. It was the same radio session they did Up The Junction in. What a day!
