I see some posts on here with Terry Bozzio. He is not the drummer on this track. This is Marco doing Bill Bruford's drumming. Marco actually did Bozzio and Bruford with this whole concert. He is amazing.

This legendary band somehow, inadvertently and unexpectedly changed the criteria for evaluating all types of contemporary musicians of their time, cleaned up the then world sound iconostasis, to force these same musicians to measure their talents and irreversibly their ability to surprise their environment 🦹♀💫💥

What can one say. Just wow! Not a single slight against Terry Bozzio. He is a great drummer. Its just that I always preferred U.K.'s original lineup of Jobson, Wetton, Holdsworth, and Bruford. Hard to believe this original album was released 46 years ago and still sound fantastic. If you at all able, try and get the U.K. - Ultimate Collectors' Edition (Box Set). It includes this full show as well as the famous U.K. Live in Boston and their full back catalogue. Best to all. R.I.P. J.W.

It should be mentioned that the name of the original band in 1978 was U.K. (United Kingdom) with Alan Holdsworth and Bill Bruford.

I brought the first album when I heard Alaska I think on Nicky Horns show on Capital Radio. I have watched this dozens of times and that album, now three copies on black plastic and the CD remains one of my all time faves.

Terry Bozzio can play drums in any band. He's just that good!!

Just for clarity... Trey Gunn doesn't play a Chapman Stick. He plays a Warr Guitar, as you can see in this video.

I just listened to this right after watching the In The Dead Of Night clip from the same concert. Wettons voice here isn’t nearly as good. Not sure why but he sounded so much better, almost as good as the original album recording.

Machacek did a pretty good job. Holdsworth is a hard act to duplicate.

Mr. Edwin Jobson, esq. is one of the greatest crossover multi-instrumentalists of all time, and there’s a line running through the very finest of British prog/folk rock/art glam that is his alone. How he is such an unknown hero is beyond comprehension.

Compositionally the song is a masterwork. Some of the alternate bass notes Wetton plays under Jobson’s chords are so rich and tasteful. The main vocal line in its ascent is so unique and beautiful. This music was sent by the Gods!

I got the UK Live album when it came out. Saw them in concert in 1979, Eddie and John with Terry Bozio, opening for Jethro Tull in Long Beach, CA. Great concert. I idolized Jobson at the time. Still do. Amazing.
