Expand on this please I’m interested (I am a Christian for context and this was inspired by an anime to show how the devil tries to prey on insecurity)

@swiftsmoke02 The devil wants us to forget about God. And makes us feel like we have some sort of power over him when the truth of the situation is he has you right where he wants you. He gives us a feeling of pride, like we can say no to him, but he wants that, when we say "no" to the devil, it distracts us when we really need to say "No" to ourselves. Live by the spirit, and you will not do the works of the flesh. Jesus says to deny ourselves, not satan, not sin, not evil, but ourselves, because we are the light that evil needs to grow within us. The mouse eats the poison on his terms, not on the terms of the poison. Because the poison knows it will kill you, but you in your hunger blind yourself from the truth, causing you to suffer a worse fate than hunger. We can not rebuke satan for God alone is Good. A kingdom can't be divided against itself. We are sinners. Sinners can't deny sin. That is why you deny the sinner, not the sin.

@swiftsmoke02 We are to partake of the divine identity that is within us. Our spirit(consciousness) is divine, not our mind(choices) or our flesh(desires). What makes us "gods" is our choices but also our consciousness. When we deny our spirit and fulfill the desires of the flesh, we become gods by choice, when we are to be gods by grace, when we consciously come to Christ we put to death the deeds of the flesh, sanctification has just begun. We are to be sanctified by the spirit(consciousness)of God, not by our own will but by God's. When we are dwelling in the spirit, we desire the works of the spirit and despise the works of the flesh. Let us join ourselves to the one body of Christ that will not be prevailed against by the fires of hell. That is the one continuous orthodox Church. You will not find more works of the spirit in any other Church than this one, for it has been perfected by Christ. The Lord of lords, King of kings, God of gods. Let us not only be in His image but also be in His likeness. Amen
